I am grateful that ClassAction.org exists to help victims of unethical companies. My most recent issue involves Temo Inc. I have noticed that many of the positive Google reviews are from Temo Inc. dealers, while numerous negative reviews from actual customers highlight problems with Temo's warranty and poor installation, leading to significant additional expenses. Although Temo Inc. proudly displays an A+ rating with the BBB, customer ratings suggest otherwise. Other review websites reflect similar concerns about Temo Inc. I am lodging a complaint against Temo Inc. due to several issues related to their warranty claims, product quality, and customer service.
1. False Advertising: Temo Inc. appears to engage in misleading advertising regarding their warranty coverage. The lifetime warranty advertised on their website does not align with the actual terms and exclusions, potentially deceiving customers about the extent of their coverage.
2. Handling of Defective Products: In the Greater Atlanta area, Carter's Sunroom and Exterior, the sole 'Temo-certified installer,' performed substandard work on my sunroom. Issues included structural support problems and cosmetic flaws. Although Temo provided a new door frame, the installation requires significant disassembly of the sunroom, which raises concerns about potential future problems like leaks. Temo's warranty excludes installation issues, but the installation was carried out by a Temo-certified installer, leaving me without recourse for these defects.
3. Withholding Information: Temo has refused to provide essential engineering drawings, which are necessary for building inspection. This lack of cooperation hampers the ability to resolve issues and ensure compliance with building codes.
4. Customer Service and Accountability: Temo has been unresponsive to my emails and has failed to address my concerns regarding the warranty and installation. Their poor customer service and lack of accountability exacerbate the issues with their products and services.
