Frustrating

Purchased unlocked phone and data. The phone made calls ok after I had my partner in the States contact them.

You must dial a plus sign before the phone number. The data plan was a waste as I was not able to use GPS or Google Maps. There is a disclaimer that the GPS service could not be guaranteed. The frustration was in trying to resolve issues while traveling.

I am happy with the phone but I had to by a Voda phone sim card to access Google maps. The price was only $30.

and included 4GB of data, 300 international minutes and 500 Italian minutes. Well worth the price.

Purchased a phone and data package for travel to Italy. Service was too slow to use phone for GPS.

Worthless purchase for $150. Would never use this company again. Tried out the phone in the US and it worked fine. Spent an hour at the car rental before getting another GPS.

Tried to use several other times but finally gave up as a worthless purchase and a waste of money.

Company does not guarantee service so they are off the hook without any recourse for the unsuspecting customer. So if anyone sees this review, beware, and go to another service provider and do not waste your money.

Don't buy from this company. They will do anything they can to drain your balance, and they are full of "gotchas".

They just offered to send me a new SIM card to save me money. I fell for it, and they sent the new card. The problem is, with the new sim card in, my phone does not work on the AT&T 3G network because it is 3 years old. When they offered the sim card, there was no information about what equipment it could be used with.

Now my phone is basically a brick, and if I don't use it to at least send a text within the next month, they will discontinue my service and take away the $44 I have on account with them.

This company is NOT customer-friendly. I do not recommend them at all.

Purchased sim card for Cuba

SCAM!!! Don't buy from this company.

Bought a sim card to travel to Cuba. Was told card would work in Cuba. Could not test it out in USA. When I got there, phone nor card would connect with any network in Havana.

I tried for days. Nothing! While in Trinidad, Cuba, on a hill I got my Nexus WiFi phone to work and called friend in US to call Telestial. Through third party they said I have to do a manual network search.

I was told I should have known to do this. Finally a call came through from Telestial. I figured my problems are over! No such luck.

Traveled back to Havana and phone would not connect to network. I tried and tried but it would not register. When returned to US, I called customer service for a refund and was told because I received the phone call from Telestial, the sim card was working and they would not refund my money. I tried to negotiate a partial refund, but they would not refund anything!

I tried to tell the customer service agent, the phone only connected once! On a trip for six days and the phone only connected for 4 minutes!

Because of that they will not refund! Go somewhere else with your money!

Telestial failed my FedEx Overnight

I paid $45 to have a SIM card overnighted to me. FedEx Rules state orders for next day shipment must be placed by 4 pm EST.

The time on my online Invoice was 4 pm. Telestial claims that I missed the deadline and consequently my SIM card will arrive to my home after I've left the country.

One of the Customer Service agents even admonished me for not taking care of "things like this" 2 weeks ago. After going round and round with Customer Service, even waiting them out on hold because they were trying to avoid my call and eventually being hung up on, I will not be getting the over night service that I paid for.

Stranded no data, spotty cell service

I bought an ITALIAN SIM CARD. My order clearly indicates "Italy SIM Card" but when I received the SIM Card it came with a UK phone number.

Called customer service. They claimed had I read the description more carefully I would have seen I was purchasing an International SIM card. It is purposefully fraudulent and misleading, as there would be no other reason to describe the product as an "Italy SIM card" as opposed to an "International SIM card that works in Italy." SCAM ARTIST THIEVES! STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.

I really can't see the problem with using an International Sim Card in Italy rather than a European Sim Card or a specific Italian Sim Card. If you bothered to check the call rates you would find an International Sim Card is 50% cheaper to use than a European Sim Card.

Therefore, you are getting twice the amount of calls as you would have received with a European or Italian Sim Card.

As for being allocated a UK number instead of US or wherever you are from it's hardly a matter for panic as the inventor of the telephone was Scottish (part of the UK). It doesn't cost anymore to have a UK number.

I have used this company on a number of occasions and have never had a problem.

Suggesting they are scam artists is ridiculous. How can you be scamming someone when you provide the service that is advertised and it's cheaper than their competitors.

Your review is one of the worst I have read and totally without foundation.

Scam: They steal your money!!!... Keep your money if you do not use your account for six months.

If you are only going to use it on your holidays going abroad once a year they will steal your money. I asked when I first signed up for an account and no mention of the six month rule!!!... Customer service manger very rude and was not interested in my complaint. They use predatory business practices and abuse customers.

My advice, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY and keep your money. This is poor company with poor business practices and customer service who doe's not care about its customers.

BUYER BEWARE

The first time I purchased a card for travel in Europe. After spending two hours on the phone with customer service trying to figure out how to make it work, I was successful in using the card.

Months later, I was traveling to Mexico so I added money to my card, when I arrived in Mexico the card didn't work. I didn't want to spend another two hours on the phone with customer service so I used Skype as my connection to the United States. One year later when traveling to Europe I decided to add money to the card only to learn they had voided the card and I had to purchase another card. I paid $41.25 for a new card and after many phone calls got them to agree to transfer the $25.00 that I put on the original card and never used in Mexico.

When I arrived in Europe the card didn't work, I spent two hours on the phone with customer service and was finally told they sent me a defective card. They offered me to solution. I spent my first day in Europe shopping for a sim card. The worst part of this whole scenario is they made me ship the defective card back to them at my cost, did not credit me back for the shipping cost of the defective card and did not credit back the $25.00 from my previous purchase, so basically it cost me $45.00 and a day of my vacation for nothing.

I should have known better after the first two incidence, but gave them the benefit of doubt. BUYER Beware do not purchase from this company.

Stole my money

I would like to warn everyone about a horrible company. Avoid using Go-Sim or E-Kit International Phone Service. Also doing business as Telestial Wireless. This company will steal your funds if you don't use your phone within a (6) six month period. They routinely commit the crime of Theft.

They could care less about the customer.

If you complain they just say those are their terms and dismiss you.

It is a horrible company! Please don't give them your business. I have learned my lesson and I hope to warn the unsuspecting public to avoid this unscrupulous company.

They took my $55.54 and won't give it back unless I pay them an additional $30.00. I want what is rightfully mine!

How to get scammed by Telestial

My Telestial sim card never worked in UK .Was told by support to send the card back for 100% refund .One thing about scammers they parse words ,if their product doesn't work they will blame you and charge you outragious shipping charges .After a month I hadn't heard from Telestial and called .I was told a refund was coming ,finally an email stating a refund was coming for $19.95 .I called and told them I had paid $29.85 ,they told me they would pass my complaint to the credit dept ,I asked to speak to them and was told credit never ever talk to customers .I now realised that I was dealing with a slippery company.Their philosophy appears to be IF YOU DON"T WANT THE CARD YOU PAY,IF THE CARD IS DEFECTIVE YOU STILL PAY ,AFTER ALL WE HAVE YOUR MONEY .With Telestia it's heads we win ,tails you lose .This company operates like these scam online stores ,I made a big mistake ,I should have read the reviews on amazon.com .It seems Telestial will give you $10 in phone mins if you write a review thats great if the sim card works so you have to review Telestial before you use the phone because unless you travel every week to Europe the minutes are useless .MY ADVISE TO YOU IS BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY YOU WILL HAVE A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE ,I DID .Go to another country buy your sim card there after all if your card doesn't work you can return it ,not with Telestial after you come back to the states you will have to fight with them and usually you will talk to some *** who hardly speaks English ,the intelligent people wont talk to you ,they want to frustate you so you will go away .GO AWAY AND DON"T DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY .

It's been about 30 days since I wrote this review,a division of Telestial(ekits) emailed me asking me how I liked Telestial ?After responding to them I was promised my $10 back ,they tell me that checks are only issued once a month .Did I get so lucky that I got in on the 1st day of the month ?if checks are issued like this I might have gotten my check on the 20th or 26th of the month ,but here I still wait ,nothing has changed ,it's what I expected from this company ,they play games ,nothing has changed spare yourself the stress dealing with this company.

FRAUD/SCAM: Telestial Passport SIM

Telestial sells SIM cards which don't work, so it's a scam

My husband and my bought TWO Telestial Passport SIM cards for our phone, thinking it was a smart way to telephone. The Telestial Passport SIMs only worked on every second or third phone call (we made about 50 test calls on each SIM!). When calling the helpline they were first friendly, but when we described the problem (in a very friendly manner I want to emphasize), they just HUNG UP!!!!!

We called again and again, but they either did not answer, or immediately hung up again after we described the issue. There was no way to get a refund, either.

Please only consider buying fraudulent Telestial Passport SIM if you only want to receive every second or third phone call.

I guess this is a pattern .They keep promising my refund like its been approved etc ,but it never arrives.The truth is my sim cards contacts did not touch my phones contacts ,thats why it didn't work ,but they wont admit it ,they always have an excuse .

The same thing happened to me with their Passport SIM card and phone. It was as if they knew the thing did not work properly but just didn't care. I would tell any one to stay far away from these guys

Thanks for the reply, but it was actually not last week, but a few months ago. Considering how often my husband and I have tried to speak to your help line about the non-functioning SIM cards, just to be immediately HUNG UP on(!!) after describing the problem, we do not wish our accounts to be reinstated.

At the time I had also an email to customer services, to which I had received (of course) no response until today.

I should have mentioned the card is also called "Telestial Passport Lite DUAL" - I missed the "DUAL" in the scam report above, but I don't assume Telestial behaves more ethically with their other products
