Another disappointing experience
Last week I made an appointment on August 18, for a service. When I arrived I was surprised when told that I needed to drop off my Jeep.
Today to possibly be looked at by next Wednesday this was not told to me when making the appointment.
I was under the impression that once the has been identified I would be presented with options to repair the leak. As I stated earlier this is not first dissatisfying experience with the Taylor Chrysler Jeep located in Taylor Mi
Car 2 days old needs new Engine- Chrysler will not offer NEW Car to replace
Seriously we purchased a car-Chrysler Telegraph in Michigan- a new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica on Friday and on Saturday my husband drove and said something is wrong with the engine. On Monday he called and on Tuesday I received a loaner.
Wednesday we received a call saying a NEW Engine was needed, but dealership wanted to just give us a new vehicle- however Chrysler had to approve. THEY DID NOT APPROVE! I feel if they stood behind their product- a $40000+ product they would admit the vehicle was faulty and that a new purchase deserves a NEW car. Highly disappointed with the ethics of Chrysler.
I planned to buy a Honda and did not due to stow n go seats, but .... this American Company is NOT highly ethical!!
Would greatly appreciate a New Car that works!! Our fear is having to remove the engine and replace will damage something else and of course, our new car will no longer be new!

Preferred solution: replace defective vehicle with a new vehicle of same type as vehicle was obviously defective when sold
No rental car available while my vehicle gets repaired.
6 months ago we purchased our 2010 Dodge Journey with 32,000 miles. From a Chrysler, Dodge dealer.
I am having Transmission and other problems and was told that my vehicle will be tied up for at least 2-3 days depending on what repairs need to be done and part availability. I am a mom of 3 and I have a lot of need for a vehicle everyday. Our son is in pre-k our daughter in 2nd grade, and our oldest works but doesn't drive. I also care of a 85 year old elderly lady when needed.
We have appts. like everyone else. I cannot be without a vehicle at all. I was told that your corporation does not furnish a vehicle while mine is being fixed which is no fault of mine.
I was told that i have to rent my own car if i needed a car while mine is being repaired. After paying $14,000 with over $300.00 a month payment I do not feel that i should have to pay $30.00 plus a day to rent a vehicle when the issue with my Journey is a defect in your product, not mine. I feel that as successful as your corporation is that such a small amount for a rental will not put you into a financial bind. I have never owned a Chrysler product until now, but I do really like my Dodge Journey.
We also own a 2009 Dodge 1500 4x4 hemi and plan to get a newer one later on. I feel that as a small token of your appreciation for people buying your product, supplying your customer with a rental for at least a couple of days should be the least you could do. I hope that you understand my point and put yourself in your customers place and think about how you would feel.
It is very disappointing to feel so unappreciated by a corporation that is so highly respected. Thank you for your time

Making an appointment is a joke. They want you to leave your vehicle for 4 days before they will even look at it.
That is crazy. Why bother making appointments then ?
