Scammers

I had a quick call with a recruiter from TekPartners. Afterwards, I started receiving spam texts and still do 3 times a day.

Even though I block all of these texts, I keep getting anyway. I believe this company exists for scams.

Operations Coordinator lacks skill-set.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The current operations coordinator, Jenna Rose is condescending, priviledged and rude. She does not thoroughly review sensitive documents provided to her as related to paperwork that she is supposed to be reviewing and submitting on new employee's behalf.

She will not acknowledge when she has made an error, offers no apology, is very quick to pass judgment and lacks empathy. She does not understand that her job is based on working respectfully with employees instead of against them.

I do not believe she has the correct skill-set for the position that she holds. I will not recommend this company and I wouldn't trust her to shine my shoes.

TekPartners scammed Mobile Software Architect job seeker.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

TekPartners insisted that I must be available to work immediately if I wanted a job as a mobile software architect and they promised 50 hours of work per week. TekPartners convinced me to pay all the travel expenses to get to their client immediately.

Then they kept delaying my first work day and told me each day that they 'would make it up to me' because I was paying thousands to get myself to the client location and to be at the client location. I took out loans to pay for the expenses to go work for TekPartners. They finally were ready for my first day of work about 2 weeks later. Then they kept giving me new excuses for not paying me for my work for many weeks from December until the middle of January.

I worked through all the holidays, went into debt by taking out personal loans to pay all the expenses to go work for TekPartners. They actually all disappeared during the holidays - left me hanging, wondering how to deal with a financial crisis because I was naive to fly out to a far away city to be next door to their client and work long hours to solve tech issues (I keep my promises). TekPartners never told the client they promised me 50 hours of work each week to make the job financially logical for the expenses & financial losses they dropped on me. When the contract was completed, TekPartners then gave me a new runaround game with new excuses daily for a few weeks about why they were not able to pay me for the final weeks that I worked & incurred expenses with that contract.

I had to contact the client and the client inspired TekPartners to pay me what I was owed for my contract. The client was very happy with my work, we made some excellent software solutions together and had a respectful business relationship. When the contract was over, TekPartners told me they submitted me for new relevant contracts with much better financial outcome for me, to make up for the losses with the first contract. TekPartners never did actually submit my resume for any new contracts nor any relevant jobs as they promised.

Instead, different TekPartner recruiters kept contacting me every few weeks, sometimes every few days to ask if they could submit me to the same old jobs ( each new recruiter had no idea of the other recruiters in their team that claimed they submitted my current resume ). I requested TekPartners remove my name & contact info from their email lists and their databases. I also told TekPartners that I fired them, they do not have the right to represent me nor submit my resume to anyone for any reason ever. TekPartners stated they would remove my name & contact info from their email lists & databases, but they wanted me to also talk about everything with them, more than I already had for many months.

I refused to give them anymore of my time for talking (I see no reason to talk in circles about lies). Months later and recruiters from TekPartners are still contacting me about the same "jobs" and wanting my most current resume to represent me.

Attempts to correct the issues with TekPartners in writing, in email and on the phone are a complete waste of time & resources. Sometimes managers at TekPartners will send emails wanting to create bigger drama about these matters I mention.

TekPartners - What do they do? Certainly not recruit, at least not Sheena.

TekPartners has another "winner" recruiter named Sheena Mannari. 1 year ago, she encouraged me to give her my resume.

I did. She wrote me and said she'd get back with me the very next day. She never did. A week passed and I emailed her and she never addressed her unprofessionalism, just skipped past it.

Last week I had the "pleasure" of communicating with her again about another job. Trying to forgive last year's incident. I sent my updated resume. She replied: "Do you have some time to speak about this role today?

Let me know!" I replied right away giving her my phone number again. Haven't heard from her in a week.

What exactly does she do for a living? She's horrible and I can't believe TekSystems employs irresponsible people like this winner.

Who knows...maybe she is too busy posting selfies on social media???? The problem with a lot of staffing agencies is that they hire people with no credentials to play at being a recruiter. My advice: ditch these chain staffing agencies and go with a small, private firm who actually employ seasoned professionals as recruiters.

Another Bad Head Hunter

These comments are meant to help you avoid problem recruiters in your job search.

I was contacted by James Wescott at Tekpartners for a programming position. We spoke and I forwarded all of my background (resume's etc.) to him and he went through many questions to pre-qualify me. I was a fit so he said that his manager, Jennifer Reed, must first review my background and if all is ok she would call me to continue the pre-qualification.

James called me later in the day and said that Jennifer was ok with my background and that a telephone interview would take place the following morning.

Long story short, no call from Jennifer or James.

I understand when I submit a resume to a head hunter that I probably won't receive a response unless they feel I qualify. However when the head hunter contacts you, interviews you and sets up a second interview and never calls back to say they filled the position.....that is bad business.

So run, don't walk away from Tekpartners.

Yes, I agree. You deserved a quick call or an email.

Leaving you hanging was highly unprofessional and reflects badly on the company and not just the recruiter. I worked as a recruiter for almost 10 years and I always followed up with candidates because to not do so was just plain bad business.
