Cult-like environment
Do not support this ministry in any way or send your sons there (or daughters and grandchildren to the women and children's home). The owners (and directors) are completely manipulative, emotionally unstable, expect complete mind-reform from patients and staff, and hold hours long meetings criticizing the residents and staff. Rampant gossip amongst higher-ups, almost impossible expectations of those involved in this ministry (both residents and staff) Not to mention their extravagant lifestyle, all the while the men's home is falling apart...

TEEN CHALLENGE, THE RIP OFF
My son was dropped off at this establishment with a cost of $750.00 entrance fee. We were greeted by a gentleman that had to go and retrieve the man we were to meet at 9:00am after a 6 hour drive. When we approached by this gentleman, he did not introduce himself, but immediately told my son to "get the cigarette out from behind your ear, there is no smoking on campus"...... ok my son did as told. We get inside after I tried to find a place to park since there was no parking, and by that time, my son had left from inside the place and was in tears.... I asked him what was wrong, and he said that he was told he had to shave, (now that gentleman that had greeted us had a beard).....oh yeah, he still hasn't introduced himself!!!! WEll, things did not go well.......My son is scared, hurt and totally confused......yeah, still no introduction........I go outside and try to talk to my son, and finally got him to go back inside.....nope, not one of the "counselors" went to try and talk to him...it was "in your face attitude" from the second we got there..... he wanted to know why he had to shave, his response, (yeah that guy that still hasn't introduced himself, said "its the rules". My son, well why do you have one????? "because I am staff" says Mr. No Name...... Needless to say, after I drove 6 hours back home I get a call from my son that he was leaving. The "staff" drove him to the bus station and left him..... My son is home, and I have tried to recoup some of the "$750.00, but they will not return it!!!!!!!!!! NOPE, sure won't!!!!!! He wasn't there for 5 hours, and they will give me NOTHING back!!! INTEGRITY????? INTRODUCTION???? NO, THEY HAVE NEITHER!!!!!!
