BEING CHARGE FOR SERVICE I DONT HAVE,HAVENT HAD GAS SINCE 02/13/2021, TURNED OFF BY TENTING COMPANY, BUT BECAUSE I DIDNT CALL AND SPECIFY I WANTED THE ACCOUNT CLOSED THEY ARE STILL CHARGING ME AND TAKING MY MONEY (DIRECT DEBIT)ALTHOUGH I HAVNT HAD GAS SINCE THEN. ABSOLUTLEY REFUSING TO GIVE BACK ANYTHING ...

Outrageous time frame
Had an appointment with TECO to change out my gas meter. Missed it because the time frame for arrival was 0800-**** and I finally left my home at 1500 because I only have 1 day off a week to get anything I need to get done. They told me to call and make another appointment. I said I would do that next week. Which is today. I came home from work last night to my gas being turned off because they took it upon themselves to change my meter without my knowledge. And NOW they are requesting to entire MY home after finding out my coworker tested positive for Covid. So they will be entering my home and who ever else’s after. If there is a spike in Covid cases on the homes this tech enters just know this is TECOs fault. I want reimbursements for the Inconvenience this has caused. My daughter went to school today without a shower, and I will not be able to wash my cloths for this weeks work cycle. I can not clean with cold water, I know that I can but I am not going to put myself in the position where I have to work harder because my gas company *** me over. Called TECO today to fix this issue and had a Charlotte Lie to me about information the next rep face to me. Jeremy Is the one who changed my meter with my neighbor outside and didn’t take it upon himself to as if they could open the garage for him. I mean TECO took it upon them self’s to make this change. So don’t know why they could ask my neighbor to open up my home for them. This whole process needs to be changed. A 3-4 hour time window needs to be established. All day time windows is unrealistic in so many ways. People have lives. I’m a single income house hold that works for the US Military with unpredictable hours and on top of that I am in school part time with an 8 year old that had sports all week and every Saturday. FRIDAY IS MY ONLY DAY TO GET THINGS DONE AND TECO HAS JUST TAKING THAT AWAY FROM ME GOR TWO FRIDAYS NOW!
User's recommendation: File a complaint about the time frame. We need to get this changed!

Beware of teco and response will send 911 for no reason to damage people's houses
Never EVER call teco people's gas stating you have symptoms of a gas leak. I was in my house and I do have multiple cats. For about ten hours I was smelling some awful urine that was burning my throat. I cleaned everywhere but it wouldn't go away. To be safe I called teco gas just to make sure it wasn't a gas leak. My eyes were watery and my throat was burning. I left my house to try to feel better and called them. Within minutes the *** woman on the phone had sent fire rescue over. I wasn't home. So they thought an unconscious person was inside and broke down my door. What kind of company is this?? I told the woman I wasn't home and she never even asked me. So 911 comes and destroys my door due to redo gas horrid customer service. Now my door is damaged and I cAnt use it??!! Totally horrendous. These people are sick. I told the *** teco *** I wasn't home. They didn't care my door was destroyed by fire rescue for no reason. All over a routine just to be safe gas leak check. Worst experience and will never call again even if I'm faint I'll just say I smell a bad odor. Beware of this piece of *** company it's awful
