Disappointed

So my girl order a iPhone for me and it stop working 45 days after I get it and Techzilla going to say it's nothing they can do cause it's only have 30 days warranty. I advice nobody to order anything from them cause you just going to waste your money.

My computer froze up with a message from AT & T and number directed me to Techzilla, supposedly a vendor for AT &T. We realized it was not legit when credit card declined charge. They said there was a lot of this type scamming going on now and it was not legit. Services sounded legit and problems explained seemed reasonable but I am not educated on computer matters. They called back when card was declined. I have not heard from them again but will be more watchful in the future since this kind of thing happens a lot. We cancelled out credit card and they will not be able to use it.

PC Scammers!

That's exactly what happened to me just today (6/25/16)!! I had a new laptop just 3 months old. Suddenly...a load buzzing took over my PC and a message from Sprint! I thought I had a real problem and this tech guy did some realistic explaining about Trojan hackers and such. Then they told me my cost would be a total of $649.00. When I tried to explain to them that I couldn't pay that amount until the 1st of July, they insisted I had only 24 hr. to comply. Like a dumb-dummy, I gave them my bank information but...I'll be waiting for my bank to open Monday and get a NEW checking account. Definitely a pain in the ***

Techzilla Samsung Electronics Galaxy 3 Cell Phone Review from Oceanside, New York

BEWARE: A seller named "tophatphones" and "TechZilla.com" sells stolen phones on ebay. I bought 2 Samsung S3's as spares because between me and my family (4) we break them often. They looked brand new. 3 weeks after receiving I tried to activate them with Virgin Mobile... only to find out they were stolen and couldn't be activated. The seller said to return them for a refund. I did but it took me a couple of weeks and they then refused to refund because it was after their 30 day return policy. Ebay wouldn't back me up even though I have proof from Virgin Mobile that they are selling "stolen" phones. Please share.

We have a great return policy when things like this happen.

I assure you, we don't rob folks and sell their devices.

We're part of a much bigger company that handles devices for carriers and manufacturers. We do our absolute best to make sure every device activates properly.

The carriers aren't very transparent with that information though. If you need assistance, please contact our customer service team.

Computer scam

Same as others above. My new dell computer. Just opened MS Edge. Was about to download some software that came with it. My browser went to a page with error messages, identified me as a Cox Communications customer, and gave me a ph# to call. I had to ask them to identify whom I was speaking with. They claimed to be a contractor for Microsoft. I granted them online access to my machine (***), then they claimed to have discovered a trojan virus infection. Then they offered 2 tools with subscriptions of 1,3, & 5yr coverage plans. They webcammed a $165 check, cured the "alleged infection" and said all was well. Later I spoke with an IT friend who enlightened my glulible dum*ss to these scams. Called Dell and their rep said the same thing, Dell walked me thru the steps to erase the bs software ScamZilla put on my 'puter and also "restored" the machine to the factory original software, erasing the real infection. Don't fall for this costly trap. I also contacted my bank and opened new checking. What a pain in the *zz!!!

Computer blocked from internet

Safari popped up with message that my computer was blocked and has been hacked and to call 855-666-**** immediately. TechZilla guided me through steps to access my computer remotely. They gave recommendations of $99.99 one-time fix or a 3-yr/5-yr plan. They informed me that my Firewall had been disabled and I had a Koobface worm which would not be recognized as malware. They wanted payment with an echeck using routing and account numbers which they could pull off my check using my computer camera. This has been a nightmare. I now have to take my computer to the Apple store and erase and install OS X, change passwords, cancel bank accounts, cancel credit cards. PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER. I hope I helped someone.

Wish I'd read this before dealing with Techzilla - blocked my computer and implied that the phone # was Cox Communications.

I echecked for $299.99; spent my husband's birthday dropping bcomputer at Staples to undo the damage and then on to the Credit Union to stop payment and open a new account.

BTW - they are in Utah now - at least that's the address on the website.

Misleading Scam

Back in the fall of 2012 I bought a new laptop from best buy. In the spring of 2013, the screen cracked on it and I began searching for Toshiba's customer service number. I called who I thought was Toshiba as the rep didn't introduce themselves as Toshiba or techzilla, and when I explained my issue, was suckered into buying a $100 warranty. They then sent me a package to ship my laptop in to them. It wasn't until after I had shipped my laptop off when I called the customer service number that I realized I had not shipped my laptop to Toshiba, but techzilla. They held my laptop hostage for over 3 months, claiming they were "working on it" and that I needed to fork out additional money for parts because the warranty they suckered me into buying was worthless. The only bright spot was that the manager lady I talked to was really nice and genuinely seemed interested in resolving my issue. I spent hours on the phone with them trying to get my laptop back. At this point I didn't care about it being repaired, I just wanted my money and computer back. When I threatened to file a class action lawsuit, my laptop was returned with a repaired screen, and I had my $100 refunded back to me. Essentially, I got my computer repaired for free. Talk about sticking it to them hahahaha

Rebate Scam

I paid for products from this company upfront and was promised a rebate for the entire amount within 3-4 months. That was early July '13. In early July 2013 I was offered a rebate special by Techzilla for both a software bundle priced at $100, and for a 1tb external harddrive priced at $150. I was promised that I would receive the rebate within 3-4 months. It has now been almost 9 months and I have still not received anything. I called multiple times and was always given excuses for why the rebate had not yet been honored. In January I was finally told they would expedite my checks and I got a confirmation email that both checks had been sent January 28th. I waited patiently and nothing was received. I called a month later on February 26th and was told that they would track down the checks and get back to me by email with an update. An email was never sent. I called today and was given the same run around, that they were trying to track down the check and that it could take an additional 2-3 weeks. It is obvious to me that this company has no intention of honoring my rebates and that they are simply hoping that I give up any more collection efforts. This is after I paid the company $250 dollars for 2 years of online software tech support. This company has zero integrity, they have lied to me on multiple occasions and at this point it feels like they are simply stealing from me. I have asked to talk to a supervisor and was never allowed to. I have no idea how this company is still in business.
