False Representation of Term of Warranty

The warranty is advertised as "commencing" upon the expiration of the shortest portion of the manufacturers warranty. BEWARE that they do not honor this as the warranty term being additional coverage on top of the manufacturer's warranty. I have a Sharp 63" LCD HD TV and purchased the 3 yr protection plan. When I called to make a claim due to an issue with an HMI port and no longer receiving sound, I was told that the warranty starts on the day of purchase. So essentially I bought a 3yr warranty for only 2yrs of coverage because they would not have assisted with any issues covered by the 1st yr of coverage by Sharp anyway. Additionally when I tried to make the claim I experienced the same treatment with unanswered e-mails, on-hold on the phone for more than 40 min, and hung-up on twice.

Refusing to honor warranty

Tech Pro Inc AKA: Tech Pro Warranty, TechPro Warranty Inc, Crazy 4 Digital, Best Stop Plasma, Digital Kings, I&R Management, Next Step Plasma, Shop Digital online, World Class Plasma, shopdigitalonline. These are all the same company according to the NewYork BBB. Bought TV, few problems. TV broke...major problems. Months of phone calls, sidestepping, no call backs, many many many times they hang up the phone without talking to you. BBB summary: 93 complaints - 42 No responses and 48 unpursuable. In other words you are screwed. Offered to give me $900 for a $1400 repair. Offered to replace TV, but I had to pay $400. In home service, but I have to pay the trip charges for the repair man. The list goes on and on. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE STORES.

Avoid these guys at all cost...They are lower than pond ***


Oct 2011: Exactly the same run around with hang ups and no response to e-mail after I paid technician to come out and he found tv dead. Finally they agreed to replace but never did and wanted to charge me shipping both ways which even though I reluctantly agreed to do they still did not ship.

Bad to the bone these guys. Filed AG office Consumer fraud complaint form


TechPro's listed phone number (listed on warranty) no longer functions. All you get is a busy signal.

Furthermore, the FAX number given by their representatives as late as mid-October has been discontinued or disconnected

In other words, they aren't doing business any more. Do not purchase this policy.


yeah i have been trying to contact them they answer then hang up on you or they tell you to hang on and never get back with you. i have called them ever day for 4 weeks and they just come up with some kind of bull.

fax is down or e- mails not working. shop digal online is the same guy too.
