In September 2017 I purchased the IMPACT program from Tecademics. I was assigned a coach whose only job was to sell me a $5000 plan within the first 7 days of being a member. I did have calls with him for those seven days but he never taught me anything about Shopify! Each day he would get 5 or 6 of us on a group call and talk about the importance of goal setting and send us off to watch some free video on YouTube or have us fill out some form. At the end of those 7 days, (when my money back guarantee was over) the pressure was on to buy another program for $5K. When I told him I couldn't do that until I started making some money he was annoyed and quit talking to me. When I complained, I was given another coach. After a few weeks of weekly calls with the same run around I learned that this coach had never had a Shopify store and really didn't know much about it. Instead of helping me with any questions, she berated me and told me I just had a bad attitude. I was also supposed to get a readymade Shopify store. Since I didn't really like any of the ones currently posted, I was told for 3 weeks in a row that more would be available on "Monday." That never happened. So then I was pressure to "just pick one" and if I didn't like it not to worry because I would have help to revamp it. OK, I did. It was suppose to be ready in five days. It took about 3 weeks. That meant I missed black Friday. I was also told I had to pay $67 a month for six months for a Shopify store that never made me one penny. For my $2K I was allowed to watch videos. These videos were not nearly as valuable as many I've seen on YouTube for free. I think Chris Rock is a joke! He is the most boring person I've ever watched on a "training" video. I've never seen the man smile. Maybe he should just focus on his rap videos and quit scamming nice people. I am now out of business and on the *** of losing my home and it all started with this stupid training. I'm not sure what good it will do to write this but it sure feels good to get it off my chest!
