Taylor Door Co of Southgate - Joe is non-responsive and unreliable

I called Joe two weeks ago and ordered a Trapp Classic 2100 Storm Door handle. Joe stated he would call me back and advise delivery. He never did. Every time I called him and left a voicemail he stated he would call back within 5 minutes. Hever never called back out of the dozen times I called him. I spoke with a receptionist a couple of times at 10am in the morning and she stated Joe would call me back by 1pm. Joe never returned my call's or messages. I would never do business with the Taylor Door in Southgate ever and would reccommend to anybody not to either. I wonder what the Trapp Company would say if they new Joe refuses Trapp business orders.

Stay away from Taylor Door in Southgate

A very bad company to do business with. The owner is very rude and unprofessional!!! He raised his voice to me on the phone and was very argumentative. They never repaired my garage door opener correctly and would not stand by their service or offer a refund if they did not repair my opener correctly for the second time. The old owner closed shop and was in debt. The old manager bought the place and he is apparently no better than they were. If they continue to operate as they are they will be out of business in the next few years, and they will be lucky to stay in business that long. Stay away from this company. One of the worst I have ever worked with!

You are never in your shop, you do not return phone calls, what makes you think you can take a customers money and do nothing? I will not go away, if you don't have the money sell your car whatever! Either install the doors or return the money.

Fred Foley owner of Taylor Doors located at 13357 Dix Southgate Michigan stole $2,000 dollars of my money. He contracted to do a job and has not done anything.

He does not respond to phone messages, letters etc. I am in the process of serving him if anyone knows were he lives please contact me.

He is 5feet 8inches about 275 pounds is bald on top and has a moustache and goutee red and white. Beware of him he is a thief and liar!

Taylor Door & Builders = WORST company ever.

Due to very poor, dishonest business tactics, service and workmanship, this company currently has two other court claims filed against them. My claim equals 3 total, and that is just in my city alone. This company will be nice to you only while they are trying to reel you in and get your business. Once they get your money, they do not care one bit about you nor their obligation to you. They will rip you off in a heartbeat, just like the did to us. Save yourself a lot of trouble and stay away from this company. There are many other door companies in the area that will treat you right. Use one of them.

I agree with this. I'm a former employee of Taylor Door - Premium Glass Division.

Their service and the way they treat their employees go hand in hand. I never had any desire to purchase what we manufactured because I seen the "JUNK" that we put out the door everyday. People buy your doors and glass from someone else. Taylor Door does not sale direct to the public so watch out for the products in most home improvement stores like Lowes, Home Depot, and Menards.

Look for the logo on the door glass. If it's Taylor walk the other way.

I also second that "ohiodude" I too was employed at Taylor Door-Premium Glass(aka Thornton Art Glass, aka Thornton Industries) for almost 10 years and you sir are 100% on the money when it comes to poor management staff who treated their employees like rats. The craftsmanship of the windows and frames that comes out of that place is a joke (and junk). Do not buy their product.
