Go to your bar association. I was just about to sign up with one of these firms when they asked about how much money I made and made a determination within minutes about a payment plan and in the next breath told me that they would charge 995 to take the case then 2100 to file the paper work and payment plans WHICH I CAN DO MYSELF!!!

SO WHY GIVE AWAY 3100 THAT I COULD BE PAYING DOWN MY BILL? To the man with the disabled kid who is considering suicide, the IRS will still put your daughter out on the street.

Go to the media and expose everyone involved, contact your TV station consumer lawyer and legislator and you WILL BE AMAZED at how things change. God bless you and good luck.

In 2013 my employer decided to avoid "Obamacare" by declaring me an "independent contractor" and terminating my salary. As a 63 year old cancer patient/diabetic I could not get work, fell behind on the mortgage, and wa forced to liquidate a small 401k in order to get somewhere to live.

Since I was now on Social Security but knew I would owe around 28k in taxes, I contacted TDN.

TDN (Mr. Constantino) told me that TDN could help, and "knew people" higher in rank than the "front line collectors" at the IRS. I paid $3250.00 and submitted my tax returns, etc.

Then I received a call advising me that the TDN could not negotiate for me because taxes and interest are "non-negotiable", but they would help set up a payment plan.

My accountant had already set up such a plan (at no charge) .

I obtained enough money to pay off the tax in a lumps sum, and called TDN to see if they could negotiate anything in exchange for a lump sum payoff. "Sarah" told me that they could not, but suggested that I CALL IRS MYSELF to work out something.

I called IRS and received a payoff number. I began getting bills from IRS offices in Kansas City, Memphis, Louisville and Cincinnati, all demanding different amounts!

I called TDN (allegedly "monitoring my account for 90 days") and was told they could not help but "Gold star Customer Care" would call me. Nobody called, so I contacted IRS myself and had to deal with a collector; a collector who gave me a 4th different payoff amount.

I still do not know where I stand.

The one thing TDN did do, aggressively, was debit my checking account and treat itself to my Social Security for $3250.00

I must give credit where credit is due. TDN, after I posted, but being unaware of this post, had Customer Care call me and resolve this issue to my satisfaction. Terms are confidential but I am fully satisfied, and I am now withdrawing this complaint.

False claims and empty promises

Out of desperation with back taxes. I consulted with this company. paying a deposit of $500 and a "direct deposit" monthly until the fee of $2300 was paid. early on they led me to believe they could eliminate liens, interest and penalties. none off this happened and I was sent a payment plan to the IRS. which I had done myself. the rep for the company, on three occasions would ask if I could pay them sooner.which set off alarm bells. It seems this company thrives on unsuspecting individuals, charging them for no service. I consider them a sophisticated Scam. They may be listed on the BBB as reputable .but it's obvious they haven't researched this company. I am hoping to have my deposit returned for NO HELP

Tax Service Assistance Review

I hired Tax Defense Network to help me with my IRS issue's. I paid $3100. After 6 months nothing as been resolved, I am worse off now. I fired them. Now Because of this company I have a lien on all my assets or future ones. I had to call the IRS myself and set up a payment plan. Which I could of done myself, without paying $3100. I don't want other people to get scammed by this company.

I received blank attachments, lies, empty promises, clueless responses, promise to return paid funds and then no response at all

I paid tax defense network $3100 dollars in 2013. I owed the IRS 12,500 at the time. They promised to hold the penalties, get me on payments, and perform my 2013 taxes. I never received any promises. My representative was Nicole Brown. Her favorite responses were I don't know I will have to check. That is not my expertise. I requested my money back in December of last year when my Bill had gone up to 14,500. Nicole lied and sent an empty attachment of which I still have. I have a lot of e-mails empty promises and untrue statements. They never even sent me my return for this year and I feel I want my money back to pay towards this growing IRS Bill.

I wrote this review about Tax Defense Network.

I heard from this company the following Monday. They were very apologetic about what happened to me.

They offered to assign me to another representative, or a full refund.

Thank You

Terrible customer service

I have been making installment payments to which Iam almost paid. Have not heard a word from my "specialist" after many e mails and phone calls. The IRS is still contacting me.....thought that was what I hired them for! At this point would not recommend to anyone. Iam also filing a complaint with the BBB. Of course the first time you speak to Jason he is very personable. Believe me after that it is all downhill. This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Instead of trying to help people they try to scam people because when your payment is due they make sure to contact YOU! Yet, you recieve no communication back.

A bunch of liars

STAY AWAY. I Just got ripped off, They promised that if I sign up with them and they couldn't help me I will get all my money back. Out of the $4,500 they were asking I was able to give them $900.00 upfront and would pay they rest at $600.00 per month installments. After a month I was tooled that they could not help me because of my financial satiation. and that they will not be refunding my $900. After a good 20 minutes argument they agreed to pay me $300. Don't believe anything they tell you. These people have no morals.

Sloooooooooooow response

I had my initial conversation with Jason at the beginning of March. He sounded very reassuring and spelled out what they would do for me. Remove two liens on two properties and negotiate a settlement with the IRS that would work with my budget. I am paying them in installments. My second installment is due in a couple of days. My major beef with the company is that the responses to my questions take way too long, and I get the sense that nothing is being done. As a real estate sales person, customer service is at the top of my list, and I feel it is at the bottom of theirs. It is still early in my dealings with them and I am hopeful that the outcome will be good. Just wish for way better communications.

Tax Defense Network lied to me and tried to hide their negligance

I am truly a pissed consumer after dealing with tax defense network. They did a terrible job handling my case with the irs, lied to me about what was going on, would not return my calls and frankly did not care what happened, at all. They had to lie because they were billing me for bogus services that never happened. On one phone call the rep I was talking to pretended to be an attorney to threaten me with legal action when I told him how dissatisfied I was with the way I was being treated and I was going to post my experience for the public to see. This is an unethical company that does not care about their customers, at all. Whatever it takes to get that money, right Tax defense network

Tax defense network never refunded the money they promised

tax defense network never contacted the irs on my behalf a complete screw up they blamed on "a rogue employ who is no longer with the company"... ..it took almost two weeks of constant phone calls and emails before they finally admitted they didnt know what was going on and they had messed up. They promised to refund the 3900 dollars I had already paid....That was 8 weeks ago...nothing, not a dime has been returned. I have contacted every office and BBB in the state to complain but have still not seen any of the money they promised to return.

Tax defense network ripped me off

Tax defense sales rep told me a bunch of lies to get me to sign with them about 30 days later and $1000.00 dollars they told me what I already knew that's after the 15 day money back guarantee had run out . And I found out that the sales rep had lied to me to get me to sign . Now they want another 4000.00 dollars to do what they were hired to do get me a settlement with the IRS . I've tried calling them to see if they have begun that process but have not herd back from them I feel my only course of action to get my money back is to sue them witch I will and by the way when confronted about what the sales rep told me they told me he was no longer with them which I thought that was quite convenient for them . I complained to attorney general and if you use them you will need this number. attorney general hotline 866-310-****

Consumer Relations.....A joke!

My first interaction with this company was very pleasant and the customer service representative initially presented as sensitive to my individualized needs and concerns; however, that soon changed. Sadly to say, I did not thoroughly research this company prior to doing business with them and I came across several controversial affiliations within this company. I was initially told that attorneys would work directly with my case but after signing the agreement, that was not the case. When I decided to terminate the business relationship, I requested a refund for previous payments. This company had not provided any services agreed upon in the contract but felt entitled to the $800 I had given them. When I requested a refund, I was told the only way I could receive a refund was if I a signed release of liability form which stated that I could not disclose my personal experience with this company to anyone. I declined to sign the form but Lee Singleton (customer relations) agreed to send the refund even though I refused to sign. I waited 3 weeks for the refund and never received it. Lee Singleton later denied that he agreed to provide a refund. I looked to BBB for assistance but was not pleased with the mediation. I believe consumers should be aware of this company and its inabilites to provide honest service. CONSUMERS! PLEASE RESEARCH THIS COMPANY BEFORE GIVING THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

TDN same complaints over and over. You'll present well, take your fees, and lie.

And I know this personaly , because you lied and scammed me as well.

I hope your company is shut down and the people whom give the business directives should be thrown in jail. But we all know that not going to happen, so you keep on scamming.

Everyone gets back what they pay forward.

Tax Defense Network is awesome at seperating you from your hard earned money. They do not offer a single service that you cannot do for yourself for free.

Call the IRS yourself and save the money. They are a scam.

Tim H Aid

Tax Defense Network respects our clients' request for termination of services, as well as their wish for a refund. We have been trying to work out a resolution with this client since February 2013, and will continue to do so, per the terms of the Service Agreement signed by the client. At this time, we extend another invitation for this client to contact us at 904-309-**** so that we can resolve this issue and satisfy both parties with an agreeable arrangement.

Nothing was done for me as was promised!

About 3 years ago I contracted with Tax Defense Network to get me caught up with back taxes. I paid in full and up front. I was told, after a few months that all was good and I was back on track. I think they were all on "CRACK". The next year I filed, expecting a return as I did this year. When nothing came I contacted the IRS to find out why the delay? To my amazement, not only did they attach those 2 years of returns but informed me that to become compliant I would need to pay them another 2,700 on top or attached returns.
