Verified Reviewer |This company is a a bait and switch scam company avoid at all costs
- TarifaSoDeal.com round trip with high-pressure change attempts.
- No confirmed tickets or PNRs; baggage and nonrefundable terms claimed.
I was trying to find an affordable round-trip ticket through the Skyscanner site for travel in June 2026 to Bangkok, Thailand, from Washington, DC, and found an itinerary with a good price. All the problems started when I began booking that option through a travel site, TarifaSoDeal.com, without separately checking the reviews for the site.
The itinerary was a round-trip ticket with KLM Airlines, with travel from Washington, DC, to Bangkok, with stopovers in Amsterdam, and on the return, stopovers in Amsterdam and Paris for $1,245.71. Then, about an hour later, the calls and messages started informing me to get in touch with an agent to confirm a few things on the ticket. I contacted an individual named Maverick Chandler at TarifaSoDeal.com, who informed me that this ticket does not permit any checked baggage allowance. When I told him that the ticket description doesn't say anything about not having checked baggage, he told me that it doesn't permit any checked baggage and that the ticket is non-refundable.
I protested that not being able to pay an additional fee to check a bag could not possibly be true. Then he started a high-pressure attempt to change the trip with other airlines, and I was totally confused. At this point, I was totally confused, and he was putting together trip segments on different airlines and attempting to charge my Capital One Savor card. Then he told me that their monthly quota for MasterCard charges does not permit additional charges and that he needs another credit card, so I provided him with my M&T Bank checking debit card, and he attempted a charge against that debit card.
Fortunately, the fraud features of M&T Bank stopped this charge. Then he told me that the charge was declined and asked for a new charge card, and I provided my Capital One checking debit card, which is a Discover card. Then he informed me that, unfortunately, their monthly quota of Discover has also been reached. At this point, I started getting very suspicious of all this and told him that if, in fact, what he had been telling me is true and the original itinerary on KLM is non-refundable, then why is it that he had told me several times that the seats had not actually been reserved?
At this point, I had been on the phone for close to two hours with this guy with a very suspicious name. I mean, who in the world with an Indian accent is named Maverick Chandler? I was truly mentally and physically exhausted and told him that I would work out the new declined charge with my bank and get back to him, and he pressured me to do it as fast as possible.
At this point, I went online searching for reviews of this travel site, TarifaSoDeal.com, and was shocked to discover that a lot of people have been scammed by this site, with many of them warning of high-pressure bait-and-switch tactics exactly like what happened to me.
Then I noticed that they have been attempting to charge my cards various bogus charges with no references to which charge was for what. One of the charges which didn't make any sense at all was a charge for $1,245.71 for the original KLM tickets, which was declined. After all, if, in fact, Maverick Chandler was trying to change the entire itinerary, then why was he putting in this charge after charging my Capital One Savor Card for two separate charges: $872.50 to United Airlines and $892.43 to American Airlines? I then scrambled to lock all three cards (one charge and two debit cards) so that no more charges could be attempted.
Then I contacted the Capital One Fraud department to dispute these two charges on my Savor Card. I also reported all three cards as compromised and asked for replacement cards. I never received any confirmed tickets nor airline PNRs from this company.
This scam company has put me through a lot of heartache and misery, and I hope somebody stops them from doing this to any other victims. I have copies of several of the declined charges and the two itineraries, which I can provide if needed.

Verified Reviewer |Deceptive Practices and Overcharging by Tarifasodeal – Ticket Scam Experience
- Five tickets bought for $1,866.96; bags not included; cancellation denied; Tarifasodeal charged $3,198.66 with payments under Turkish Airlines name.
I purchased five round-trip tickets from Tarifasodeal for $1,866.96 for a flight from Washington to Istanbul, departing March 26 and returning April 6. Only after payment was I told the price did not include checked-in bags.
When I asked if I could pay for the bags at the airport, I was told I could not, and I was also informed that cancellation was not allowedeven though I requested it less than an hour after purchase. Later, an agent, apparently located in the UAE or India, tried to sell me a more expensive fare for alternate dates, from March 25 to April 5, that included only carry-on bags.
When I contacted Turkish Airlines, I learned that Tarifasodeal purchased my tickets from them after charging my credit cards $3,198.66, for a total ticket cost of about $2,600, pocketing the remaining $598.66.
In addition, Tarifasodeal charged my credit cards under the name Turkish Airlines instead of their own. The entire process was deceptive, non-transparent, and based on trickery.
Attached are the supporting documents.

User's recommendation: Be extremely cautious when dealing with Tarifasodeal. Verify all ticket prices, including baggage fees, before payment. Do not rely on their promises regarding cancellations or date changes, and monitor your credit card statements closely, as they may charge more than agreed and even use the airline’s name instead of their own. Consider booking directly with the airline or a reputable travel agency to avoid deceptive and non-transparent practices.

Verified Reviewer |They are FRAUD
- After booking confirmation, they called requesting more money.
- They advertise a low price and pressure for extra charges after card details.
Booked a ticket with them and after booking confirmation they started calling asking for more money and when I refused to pay more and asked to cancel if they can't honor their booking price, they didn't cancel and kept on forcing me to pay more. They will advertise a low price and once they have your credit call details they start blackmailing you to pay more. Avoid the SCAMMERS.
User's recommendation: They are scammers. Avoid them.

Verified Reviewer |This company is completely dishonest
- They offered a good price and sent details.
- Luggage not allowed without paying extra.
- No refund within 24 hours.
- Date not guaranteed.
They offered a very good price for my trip and sent me the reservation information. They then called and told me that no baggage was allowed - notice they said allowed, not that it was not included but that it was not allowed.
They told me that unless I paid them an extra couple of thousand dollars, I could not bring any luggage or carry on and that the airline would not allow me to add luggage at the airport. So I said, OK, I don't want the ticket. So they said, "too late" you are already booked and there is no refund and that they are immune to any requirement to cancel the ticket even though it had been less than 24 hours since the reservation had been made. Except for the no refund, no where in their fine print did they state that luggage was not allowed - and I read everything before booking.
So I called their bluff and said that I would go ahead and take the ticket anyway without luggage. This caught them off guard and after some hemming and hawing they come back with - "We never guaranteed the date of the flight. We can book you for whichever date we want to." So how can a flight that was "already booked" suddenly change? Luckily I knew that this company was probably shady and booked it with a credit card of a company which has their customer's back.
I called up the CC company and explained the situation and they shut them down cold.
No charges allowed from them. If you do deal with these people, make sure you are safe about it.

Verified Reviewer |Mostly scam
- Initial low price, then a call 20 minutes later to clarify terms.
- No refunds; must travel early, no bags, standby, not reserved; possible scam.
Initial low price, bought tickets. 20 min later they called back to 'clarify' the conditions of the purchase.
No refunds, have to show up to the airport early, no bags, and you're on standby, not actually with a reserved seat. I'm assuming this is some sort of scam where they sell tickets for flights they don't actually have.
- Low initial price
- Added undisclosed restrictions after purchase
Preferred solution: Full refund
Airline tickets, got ripped off
- Tickets showed as in progress.
- Return ticket was standby and couldn't be canceled.
- The reviewer calls the site a scam and gives half a star.
I purchased airline tickets through this company. When I checked back online, the tickets were still "in progress", so I contacted the company to see why.
I was told that my return ticket was a "standby" ticket and that's why it hadn't completed. I was told I couldn't cancel my trip at that point and that it was explained on the website...which it was not. To get off standby it cost me more money.
This site is a complete scam, I hope no one else uses it and gets taken like I did. If a 1/2 star was a rating, I would rate this business as that.
User's recommendation: Do NOT use this company!!!

Verified ReviewerNo service provided, overcharged CC without consent
- Tarifasodeal offered 3 Chicago–Vilnius Finnair tickets for $1912.83.
- Card charged $3298.98 without consent; 3 $940.21 charges to Finnair; no records.
On March 25, 2025 company Tarifasodeal offered 3 air tickets from Chicago to Vilnius via Finnair company for the total amount of $1912.83 including all taxes and fees (copy of document attached). As this offer was acceptable to us, they requested to provide them with credit card information.
Shortly, we received their confirmation email indicating that they have charged our credit card in the previously undiscussed and unagreed amount of $3298.98. We contacted Tarifasodeal (tel: 888539****) emphasizing this amount is completely unacceptable to us and done without our knowledge and thus has to be canceled immediately. The company aggressively replied that they had no intention to refund the overcharged amount.
We contacted and informed our bank representative about this fraudulent transaction, who ascertained this transaction will not be completed and a red flag will attached to it.
Later, the bank statement we received indicated that our credit card has been charged three (3) times to the amount of $940.21 to "Finnair" account.
We contacted Finnair Airlines to inquire about the ticket reservations, however, their representative has confirmed that there are no records of any flight tickets reserved in our names.
In addition, we just received an email from Sheldon, company agent, in which they demand us to give our authorization to transact the amount of $3298.98.
We do believe this company is dealing in fraudulent activities as we have later found via google that this is a scam website. They are unfairly extorting money from their perspective clients.
Also, the flight itinerary is sus as the flights are showing to be operated directly by American Airlines who do not service Europe unless they are in partnership with another company.
This is not reflected in the flight itinerary. We strongly believe this is theft on our behalf.
User's recommendation: Do not deal with this company
Too good to be true
- Lowest fares mean standby.
- If you miss the flight you lose money and can't change.
- I was told I'd be last to board; site omits standby.
Lowest fares means you're on standby. If you don't get on the flight, you lose your money because you cannot make changes.
If you are ok with that risk it is fine but this information is not written down anywhere on their website and they do not use the term standby.
I was informed I would be the last person to board the plane. It is deceitful, I was told what do you expect for that cheap of a fare, how about a big red flag!
User's recommendation: Ask about everything, do not assume
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
- I booked a round-trip flight for $324.
- Three hours later, I had no confirmation email and the discount was gone, price now $889.
Booked a flight for $324 round trip. Three hours later with no confirmation email, I called their "customer service" only to be told that discount price was no longer available so now my price was actually $889!! SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!
User's recommendation: DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS!!
I would give them a negative review if possible. Raised the price once they got my credit card number.
Showed me a price then once they got my credit card number raised the price by $245 dollars claiming the airline raised it. I checked the airline web site and they have not raised the price!!!
User's recommendation: Do not do ANY business with these people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased two tickets from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Canada. The following day, I was informed that only one ticket was successfully processed with Air Canada.
Upon requesting a refund, I was asked to purchase another ticket at a higher price. Furthermore, I was informed that the remaining original ticket would now cost triple the original amount. I am very disappointed with this experience.
I am calling my bank to get my money back. Fraud - scam - stay away.

Bait and switch company they advertise a price then call you and say there was an error and that price is not available anymore they then try and give you a higher price which is much more than the original, in my case double, and also higher than competitors My advice would be to avoid dealing with this company
