Awesome place. Now that lots of people come out here it’s not as easy to score deals.

There’s plenty of great items. I have purchased cars, trucks, boats, four wheelers and all kinds of other stuff.

Never had an issue. Great people and easy auction.

Ripped off

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased a boat that was advertised as a 2000 but once I took it to the shop 2 day after I bought it,it was confirmed that the boat was a 1995.I contacted Tampa Machinery Auction about it and they refused to issue a refund.Never deal with them if you don't wish to get ripped off. I even went as far as to have the makers off the boat look into this issue and they confirmed that they did not make this boat in the year 2000.I will never deal with these crooks again over at Tampa Machinery Auction.I can't even find parts for this boat at a decent price.

That boat had a valid Florida title issued by the State stating the vessel was a 2000. This customer was advised to contact the State to determine if they had made a mistake when it was titled.

He refused to do so. Had he done just that, and it had been determined there was an error; we might have been able to help him out. But because he refused to do so we had no way to help him.

What did he expect for $700.00? Can't help those who refuse to help themselves!

In David's own words...

This one small piece of telephone conversation between myself and the owner of TMA, is being offered for all to consider without any negative or positive connotations implied. You draw your own conclusions.

Me: Why would my electronic bids not be entered in a timely manner, just as a live bid would be?

David: We'll always give preference to our live bidders.

Me: Why would you ever give preference to any bidder over another?

David: Because they actually showed up.

As this is only 79 words and I need to have a hundred minimum, I should also add that in the view of TMA as expressed to me by the owner, internet bidding is more trouble than it's worth.

Why do online bidding when you can do it in person

Buyers beware buying autos from Tampa Machinery Auction

I just purchased a 2004 Ford Explorer at TMA 11.12.11. A very nice vehicle but after driving it home i noticed that the transmission hesitated after putting in drive or reverse.

the service engine light was on so i went to discount auto parts to have the code read. p-o775 witch has to do with the transmisson issues etc. But thats what you get when you can't test drive!

and you have maybe 5 min to hear the vehicles run and to inspect the items you are bidding on TMA does not let you move or test drive etc. Buyers beware!

You have to know how an auction works !!!

The equipment / cars / trucks , do not belong to TMAuction.

People drop stuff off and they AUCTION it off. They do not know the history of the items .

Done deal !!

" No warranties expressed written or implied "

If you dont know what you are doing DONT buy at an auction " case closed "

Don't waste your time and good money on these "fake" auction bargains. They do have insiders that up bid items, yet no one goes to jail.

I purchased a 2002 Ford Explorer from a local car dealer for $1600 cash. The dealer gave me a full disclosure of the problems the vehicle had. So I bought the vehicle with my eyes wide open.

All the repairs were minor and its been a great vehicle so far. Stay away from these bogus auctions.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. GO TO A DEALER IF YOU WANT A WARR

Guest

I called for information and the *** who answered the phone came off as an *** and not that I look at the review looks like there all ***

Guest

They come as is. I have bought 4 vehicles from there and no problems.

If i had any it was that the vehicle needed a battery or tires that's it otherwise no check engine lights or mechanical issues. Plus you have to look at where the vehicle comes from

Guest

You never said what you paid?

I'm sure you did not pay retail...

Can you imagine how long it would take if everyone test drove each vehicle... Always plan on replacing tranny....if not you are ahead....

Tampa machinery auction. The best cars you can buy with oil leaks, bad engines bad trnny.

Men please dont waste you money there.

The junks that the dealer wont sale because the repair is more then the cost of the car they take it to tampa machinery auction and sale it there.90% of the items there have a price set that the owner of the item wants. THATS NOT A AUCTION

Guest

ive never bought here but everyone needs to remember its a auction *** they don't allow test drives or anything at any auction I go to auctions and just buy stuff I like I know I mite get something bad or tht needs work

you must do your homework the best you can and roll the dice
