I attribute much of my growth as an actor to the top notch training I have received at Talent INC Canada. The quality of instruction is excellent, given by seasoned professionals in the industry. The teachers promote learning by creating a safe environment for all students to flex their creative muscle and grow as performers!
John Stevens and Doug Sloan support and encourage each student along the way, and with their guidance many students have found success. John and Doug truly put their hearts into helping each person that steps through the doors of Talent INC Canada.
Note: Talent INC Canada is an Acting School not a Talent Agent (only Talent Agencies can be listed on ACTRA). I reside in Canada, (unlike the previous review), the only country Talent INC Canada does business in. I have personally attended their classes, workshops and conferences in which highly respected Casting Directors and Agents from across Canada are in attendance.
Anyone can do their own research by searching "Talent Inc Canada" and by reading real reviews by actual students on Talent INC Canada's FB page.

"Talent INC Canada - SCAM WARNING!!!!"
Owners "Doug Sloan" and "John Stevens" used to be affiliated with another SCAM operation "John Robert Powers" (google that company) before opening up their own scam operation called "TALENT INC CANADA" (http://talent-inc.ca) where they scam unsuspecting parents out of thousands of dollars for their workshops and then luring them further into their conference, which is a joke where they PAY agencies to attend. These agents don't sit there for free to watch talent.
You DO NOT need to pay anyone to find an agent. You can do this on your own.
Just google ACTRA talent agencies and make sure they are part of this union. Go find a cheaper class somewhere else by attending a local theater class, where you will get proper training.

Hello and thank you for giving us this opportunity to address any concerns about Talent INC Canada's co-founders, John Stevens and Doug Sloan.
As with any business, the success or failure of company is directly linked to the owners of that company.
John Stevens and Doug Sloan never had any financial interests in John Robert Powers in Canada nor anywhere else for that matter.
Therefore, if you are upset with that company you should seek out it's true owners.
John Robert Powers in Canada was owned by Mimi Eddy-Van Otten, Michael Palance and George Caceres.
John Stevens and Doug Sloan were not even employees at John Robert Powers. We were only independent contractors who received rave reviews and were begged by clients across Canada to open up our own venue which we did successfully.
Talent INC Canada offers the most affordable classes in town. Other studios are charging $460.00 for 6 weeks of training and we offer 8 weeks for $400.00. So the above complaint is completely unfounded.
As for our conference, the goal of our conference is education. It has never been the goal of our conference to be a place to get signed by an agent. In fact, the majority of our clients are already signed with an agent prior to attending our conference. Over half of the clients who attend our conference return again and several have attended every single conference we have put on.
Talent INC Canada is supported by agents and casting directors from across Canada and applauded for their efforts to promote Canadian content and Canadian projects. As for paying the VIP's well of course anyone worth meeting is going to expect certain expenses to be covered which we do thanks to the help of our corporate sponsors. VIP's receive enough of a stipend to cover their parking and food while at the host hotel. This is standard for ANY conference in ANY field.
