Time Warner Cable Automated Service
I tried to make an automated credit card payment with a card I have used for YEARS and as of last month it would not recognize it as a valid card. As a result I had to make a payment using a rep. with a charge of 5 dollars. Today when I called and was not able to make the payment I ended up with a horrible rep. Raquel told me..."there is nothing we can do to fix the system to take the card number and there are other options for payment available". I explained, it was a long term form of payment and wanted to continue to call in the payment. She then tried to tell me I needed to make a payment on the system for it to be recognized...huh??? She did waive the fee for this month, I bit the bullet last month. I told her I would like to speak to a supervisor..."No this is not a supervisory issue"...what???? After going back and forth and actually apologizing to her...that it was not her fault but it was an issue that I wanted to resolve she reluctantly said she would get the supervisor. As you may suspect I was put on hold until the phone call dropped....gasp. I called back did get in touch with two very nice reps who were going to turn over the issue to the IT...which is what I wanted Raquel to do in the first place so that the number could be added back into the system. I filed a complaint and hopefully Raquel will be more helpful in the future...if not I am a courteous unemployed individual and would love to have her job!!!!! Where do they get these people???? So, I was pissed but at least there are some professionals in the mix.

Avasflowers - Ava's Flowers - scam, but delivered flowers
What a bizarre scam. I ordered flowers for my Mom's birthday, with a guaranteed delivery time of 4pm same day. They even allowed me to use the "discount code" listed on their website. By 4pm the order never came, and I realized something weird was going on when I never got my "email confirmation" they said would come. Talked to a person same day that said my order had gone to the flower shop, but that they couldn't say which flower shop was handling the order (another clue that I was talking to a big giant call center). Next day I talked to 5-6 people over the course of a couple hours, each time getting transferred to "someone who could help me" when in reality was just another person reading the same script. Now, the strange part. Once I found out it was a scam, I contacted my bank and cancelled the card that I ordered from. No transaction was pending, so nothing went through. HOWEVER, 3 days after the original order date, a version of the bouquet I ordered actually made it to my Mom. However, I didn't ever get charged for it. Too weird.

Picture Me Portrait Studio - Picture Me- Family Portrait and Club Membership
Stopped in at a Walmart, Houston, TX and Jason the Portrait Me sales rep sold me a $20.00 membership for my family and I to take pictures for 1 year. The deal was that we could come in a take pictures twice a month for a year and at each visit we would receive free portraits of our choice at every sitting. I began to try and schedule appointments but was never able to find any location that was not booked. Finally I go online to there website, and low and behold they have closed the store. I tried to call the the number listed on the card 281-591-0560 with Jason name listed and the answering machine states this machine is off. WoW I know it was only $20 but it was my $20 dollars that I worked for. I gave them my contact information so it's not like the can't get in touch with me to refund me my money. They did not provide the service the should return everyone's money. I'm just sitting here imagining all the people they scammed out of $20 or more its just sad who will represent the people?
