Vanilla Visa - Rip off

I purchased a vanilla card for 250 for my son to pay for his hotel on his hockey torurnamnet... he is now in rochester- and the card did not acivate on there end... there like theres nothing we can do sorry,,,, do not buy... now i have to send receipt and copy of card and we will see what happens.... i would suggest just giving cash and not buying one of these cards...not sure if the american express one is better!!! i will never purchase one of these cards again- thank god there was someone there that he knew an put it on there card...

I don't know what they are talking about "no refund policy". The refund policy goes, the studio is only allowed to give up to a $25 refund IF they have taken in money that day...

Picture Me Portrait Studio - Smdh! Where do I start?

Originally my family and I were taking our business to Portrait Innovation to take family pics. I was approached by one of the vendors offering so many pics, and the ability to use the card throughout the year for $20. Sounded like a good idea. I had just spent over $300 at Wal-Mart the previous year and was well pleased. Even had the same exact card, which was complimentary due to the price of the package I purchased. I said, "Hmm! Why not $20 long as we can take pics why my son is on Spring Break?" Guy said, "Sure we'll run your card and get you scheduled for a session." We were not booked for any day during his Spring Break. Instead of the guy just telling us they were booked. He just pushed us in somewhere and gave us a day 3/25 @ 12:00 pm. As the day seemed to get closer for us to take pics. I noticed the mistake and was very upset. I tried calling for some days, no answer. Not even a voice mail to leave a message. How rude? Finally on the day of 3-25-13 @ approx. 10'o'clock am. Low and behold! Someone finally answered the phone. Well after explaining my situation she needed to access the appointment screen. Said She would take my number down and call me back. I waited, and waited! I noticed @ 5pm that day. I still never got that phone call. By this time I'm irritated. We'd been told we would be taking pictures by Spring Break, now I've had someone tell me they're going to call me back to fix the situation still no help. I called back the next day to let the lady again know my problem and remind her I had never received the call only for her to tell me ":0 Oh I'm sorry I forgot about you." Wth? By this time I was beyond irritated. I was fuming in flames. I just wanted my money back. I gave the worker my number, She said she would have to call her supervisor to see about getting me a refund she promised to call me back by 2pm. She did, only proceeding to tell me I wouldn't be able to get my money back because of a no refund policy. I told her I was not made aware of that before my purchase and I wanted to talk to corporate about it. She gave me a 1800#, a representative answered, and I made a complaint. She said the District Manager would be getting back with me, but allow 24 hours. Well I had a missed call and a vm. It was the DM. She asked about my experience and I gave it to her raw. Telling her about their poor customer service. She did first apologize for the dissatisfaction. Secondly, she confirmed that true I wouldn't be getting a refund because they(the people promoting the cards) were a separate vendor,but because they wanted to keep my business. She asked me how she could help me? I replied, "I didn't know, but in my head I still wanted my money back". So she made me an offer that I could still use my card to get the free pics, plus she would throw in a $50 voucher that I could use towards the purchase of my pics, and scheduled me a booking to take Easter pics on 3-31-2013. After wards she confirmed my appointment, told me my voucher would be ready the day of at the studio, and assured me I would be in and out, and have a well pleased experience. So we thought! The day of yes I knew it would be Easter, but someone did some complete over booking. We got there the line was out the door, no where in the studio to sit, and a 30 min wait before we could even take pics. Again! I'm in flames. I'm a Virgo I like organization, communication, etc. Hello! No one informed me of this. So much for in and out. Luckily I kept the DM's # on speed dial. I immediately called and complained once again. She once again apologized and offered me the biggest framed pic they have. I accepted it. So Finally, I was a happy customer. I was very satisfied with my portraits and although the customer service was poor. I felt the free portraits were ammends. So after leaving the studio. I was told to give it 72 hours before I could upload my pics. 72 hours had passed by. I entered my code. Received message still implying my pics were being processed allow up to 72 hours. So I contacted the location in which we took pics again. Letting them know I was unable to retrieve my pics using that session number/password. I was told that was a customer service issue. I would have to send an email. I did send the email just yesterday 4-3-2013. I awoke this am 4-4-2013. Tried reentering the numbers again. It was an epic fail. I still received the same message. I immediately called customer service. I was told I'd be on hold five minutes and was left on hold for two hours. Finally my phone had hung up. I called the studio location approximately 3 times no answer/ no voice mail. Finally I just tried and called another location (Belle Isle) and was told by an employee, "All the studio's were shutting down, everyone had just got word last night, and they don't know when or if customers would get their pics. I called the DM once again to ? this out. She confirmed that everyone received a message saying not to show up today. They were shuting them all down. I was also told they knew as of two weeks ago that there was talk about them possibly closing, but everyone kind of brushed it off. Thinking they would find a solution. But now I'm Pissed off to the highest rate of pisstivity! Two weeks ago I wanted my money back. If I'd known there was even talk of closing the studio. I'd demanded my money and took my business elsewhere. It was not communicated to us the customer's who #1 have been keeping the business open for so long. #2 What a unfair way to treat your employees? There should have been some kind of notice given at least 2 weeks prior #3 Who the *** text employees they're out of jobs. Where is J.G. Wentworth? It's my money and pictures, and I need them now :(

Vanilla Visa - No load on gift card

Got a vanilla gift card as a gift, the card comes with an intact pack loaded with 50 dollars it says but when I try to use it, it did not work, how embarrassing. When I called the customer service, they said that I have to provide them document on the purchase of the card, but how will I do that if I can no longer track who gave the gift because it came from a friend last Christmas, and it such a hassle, and embarrassing to the people who gave the gift. They are reputable friends and I'm sure they loaded the card, the customer service said that they cannot do anything if I can't provide documentation of purchase, how can I do that when I'm just a recipient of gift card? That is why it is called "gift card", I assume. I'm just disappointed and a waste of money for my friend since I can't use the card and this company got all the money. They can't even have a system where they can track the purchase of that gift card. What a Rip off. Don't buy this card if you don't want to be embarrassed.
