This is a flaw in the leather which appeared in an area that isn't even in a normal wear area on the seat back. The rest of the chair is in good condition. We have always had La Z Boy furniture in iur home and still have a La Z Boy hideabed that is nearly 30 years old but is in very good condition. Thought I bought a really good sectional and rug to match and paid sibstantially more than I would normally pay. The fabric began to fade and pill within the first six months and when I called in to inquire it was past the year but they sent a fabric specialist and they replaced as a one time gesture three cushion seat covers. Bought this Expensive Leather Lazy boy recliner four years ago and the leather is peeling off as we sit. Upholsterer said it is bonded leather and pretty cheap covering. We paid around $1000 for it and if we want to recover it it will cost another $800 to $1000. Love the chair itself but for that kind of money you would think they might invest in decent material on it. Would have went with fabric if I knew this was going to happen. Disgusted...
