Cox Communications - Fraudulant Business Practices, charging over $600 in disconnect fees

I have had service with Cox for 2 1/2 years. Pay 107 a month for the highest speed internet, which has never been of a high speed. I called to cancel and they are trying to state I am in a 3 year contract. I hung up mad. The next day I submitted an online ticket to cancel. After 4 tickets they finally called and said we see you called yesterday, I said yes but they tried to say I was in a 3 year contract so I got mad and hung up. He said I do not see a contract on your account. I said great then had him credit some bogus charges (3 $55 reconnect fees on the same day and two $10 payment charges) then he transferred me to the retention department. That guy then tells me there is a 3 year contract. He said he would send it to me by email along with disconnect form. I get the contract, account number is different and no signature. How can you claim someone who has never read this 3 year contract nor signed it is in a 3 year contract. I would have never agreed to 3 years with early penalty of 100% of monthly commitment for extent of the contract. I am going to have to take this to court. They are now saying I owe over $600! I had a 0 balance and was a customer for 2 1/2 years and this is how they treat me. They will put this on my credit report making others think I am a bad payer, when in reality Cox has fraudulent business practices. This contract is not valid!

Cox Communications - Worst service ever

The cox service as well as the customer service is absolutely the worst anywhere, TV Signal causes programs to freeze on screen, only recourse is to unplug everything, this happens at least twice daily. This is an on going problem which I have called in about more times then I can count, no solution to this problem, nasty customer support we I tell them how much the service sucks. Cox *** ***, they just don't care if I have had the same issues for years, they offer no solutions, just a lot of talk. They flat out lie! Make up an internet plan and quote me the price which does not exist! Didn't change anything on my account but said it was all good to go. Got my bill and it is exactly the same with the same service that I was already getting. Who the heck runs this place? So the hour that I was on the phone with the *** was useless! And it was not the first time! Have always had problems with them charging me for service calls when it is their fault.. numerous times! The cable never runs good!! Why cant we get a cable internet service like Time Warner here in Omaha!!??!!! Cox flat out just sucks!

There is no way that anyone should be paying for channels you don't watch, like 95% of what's in your package. I don't watch sports or speak Spanish and to add insult to injury, the important channels I need is in a package with a higher price... And now I have to purchase extra boxes since you decided that the only way I can watch regular and local channels is to purchase this new digital mini box. Cox Communications - COX...THE WORST!!

I just moved here from Nor-Cal, and I paid for Cox in Las Vegas nv. They are the absolute worst carrier of ANY service I have hired in my sixty years. Constant interruptions, variable content, poor customer service. I have experienced outages where they do not answer the phone, there is no way to leave a message...you pay, they do not deliver and no one gives a ***. Attempts by myself to correct problems are varied. I've shut the equipment off, restarted, opened separate windows...all without any success. Try calling Cox though...good luck! Cox Communications - FRAUD!!! WORST SERVICE EVER!!! FCC SHOULD INVESTIGATE!!!

@CoxComm - This is by far THE WORST company I've ever dealt with!!! There are constant un-notified rate hikes. My bill is NEVER the same and usually it's on the high side. I finally got fed-up with them and canceled my service starting July 1st 2015. They took an hour of my time trying to keep me as a customer and I wouldn't budge. Finally was able to cancel (it's worst than trying to cancel a gym membership). No one ever told me what equipment needs to be returned, nor was I ever sent an email on returning their *** equipment. Within 15 DAYS, they send me to collections!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I've always paid my bill on time with autopay!!! SHAMEFULL!!!! STAY AWAY!!! Unfortunately they run a monopoly in the City of Irvine which I think @City_of_Irvine should do something about.

Cox Communications - The worst co. Ever!

I keep getting funny text across my tv like I have caption turnd on but when I check it says its tuened off. Some times its a diffrent lanuge and other times it symboles and crazy boxes and @ symboles. The ter2 tech told me there is no way what so ever that stuff like that could come across my tv from them and that there is a problem with my tv and to call my tv's tech team to get it resolved. My tv tech team ran lots of tests and had me dance and sing and found no problems with my tv at all and informed me that the crazy text on my tv was coming from my cable line.... Every time I have a problem with my internet and tv I have to call cox and tell them how to fix the problem and again I have to fight with them to get them to do anything at all, and im always told that ther is nothing they can do and its always a problem with my things and not there line... Lie lie lie... All the time... They better find a way to help there cus. As I will start a class action suit aginst them for what they are doing to my cable line as I have all my log files to prove it...
