I purchased a 2018 Tiguan on September 28, 2017. I have never purchased a vehicle other than a GM and liked the Tiguan and the new warranty. After the purchase my credit union called me to inform of the shortage on the payoff. I contacted the dealership by phone...

Volkswagen Of America - Do not drive a Passat when it rains

I bought a Volkswagen Passat TDI in Europe and all what I can say is that is a wonderful car, in the event the temperature is mild and DOES NOT RAIN. When it rains, its performance is far from good. It seems that rain enters through the turbo and spoils the whole engine. But the worst thing is that the Company denies to be responsible of this poor engineering design. Therefore, my advice is to buy an standard Ford, Toyota, GMC, etc, for the bad weather and keeping the Volkswagen for those days when it is sunny, but not too hot, and it does not rain, even a single drop.
