Sync.com has data corruption issues

We have been using Sync.com for a few years and have become somewhat dependent on it, even though we wish we could leave. Our main issue is data corruption with files that we delete, only for them to mysteriously reappear. Sync.com has not been able to explain why their software has this error, and it has not been fixed.

Preferred solution: Fix the software issues we are having using their product. We are unfortunately dependent on them after investing so much money.

Resolved: Phone number does not get to a live agent

Called the number and was directed to voice mail to describe my problem. This is smiliar to the instructions on the Customer Support Website. It doesn't get to a live agent who can help or chat.

Once again, Customer Service went out with Edsel: used to exist, not to be found today

The good thing about Sync is that they don't grab money to get people to use their services; that much has to be said in their favor. However, I tried THREE TIMES to install their software.

I did not find any app, however, and that made me contact Customer Support. I was told to uninstall and then reinstall. I followed directions, but no app appeared to be installed. Again I contacted them, and they gave the same instructions again, but the second time, they gave me links to use for uninstalling and installing.

I hoped that would work, but it didn't. Again I reported to Customer Support. Once again, I was told to uninstall, to wait a while, and then to reinstall, and again, I was given links for the operations -- all in vain. After that, I once again turned to Customer Support, and then -- stony silence!

Apparently, the saying "you get what you pay for" applies when a company offers a service without grabbing lots of money up front! It seems there's no safe way to be a consumer in the United States today; this is the lack of morals that is the rule, not the exception. I give Sync credit for not grabbing money and then leaving the customer poor and with nothing, which is the rule these days. Sync at least spares customers the financial drain, and I give them credit for that much.

I just wish they had something to offer.

To have ongoing service, then payment is required, but the would-be customer is not ripped off just for attempting to install something that may not be installed as it was not for me. I have mixed feelings about posting a negative review, but I have to be honest in saying that in this case, I really did get what I paid for!
