Totally pissed

Just B.S. Scam artists. Don't even try. You may win a bid or two, something like a $10 gift card for $4 or $5 and loose your membership fee, because you won. They will not cancel your membership until you try to bid and use all of the 300 bids they give when you buy the membership. You can not talk to customer service live, only via chat room, and they can't help you anyway... we should pressure the credit card companies and ask for refunds, because it's a scam!!! I don't even want to talk about them...

Www.swipebids.com just took me for $150.00 Give them information and you buy bids for that amount.

All I did to the best of my knowledge was put my information down and that bought me 300 bids for $150.00 They could be upfront with what they do. Now I can not even get back on that site, to click onto the chat site, which according to the number I dialed to cancel, is the only way to get it cancelled. Have I been taken, yes, have I been scammed, yes. Anyone, if you have a solution, please let it be know. Sites like www.swipebids.com need to erased from the internet. The cancellation number that was given on the site is 866-389-****. According to the company they can only cancel the monthly charge of $11.95 This also was a surprise to me for I did not read anywhere of a monthly charge. To all, be careful of your very hard earned money. Companies like Swipebids will take your $$$ at a blink of an eye.

I too have been taken for 300.00 because of their deception. When I found out that I was charged $150 because I had "timed out" and they chose a pkg for me....

thanks alot. then a pop up came about bids and when I tried to close the pop up they charged me another $150..... this company needs to be investigated as a scam ...

they may have a legal stand but not an ethical one.....

the phone number only gets you back to the chat person who reads a standard statement about their lawyers... oh they did cancel the 11.95 monthly charge that I didn't even know about.....

Guest

same things happened to me. i will have my card co.

do a "reverse charge." these rip off companies don't like that. the card companies will cut them off with but a few of these reverse charges. please do that.

your card co. will not charge you for not paying as long as in dispute......please do it.

Guest

Ihad the same thing happen. no where, did it mention $150.00 until they had already charged me.

Now, i noticed from another complaint something about an $11.95 monthly charge. This is also news to me. I will have a "reverse charge" done on my credit card.

If they receive only a very few of these reverse charges, the card companies will stop doing business with them. Please do this.

Guest

In the begining of may 2010 swipebids.com spamed me with their ad and I thought I was signing for a free month trial. When I found I was being charged $300.00 on my credit card I asked them to please refund me and that I have been diagnosed with alzheimers and make mistakes.

They kept refusing and finally said they'd give me half back but I should use my bids to try and win. Because I thought they were legit I went along with it and kept buying bids to try and get something to sell to get my money back. Now I'm out about $1,500.00 and feel I've been robbed! I've put in complaints to the internet fraud dept of the F.B.I.

and Royal Mounted Police Fraud Dept.

but recieve no answers! I'm disabled and on a fixed income!....Big Scam!

Guest

the same thing happen to me, I demand a refund, you are correct no where while registering did it say a 150.00 will be charged to your credit card. i read the terms and conditions and not anywhere did it stat I would be charged 150.00 I also am filing a complaint with the bbb and the attorney general in my state. with deception and fraud I too only wanted to register for future bidding as I do with Ubid and other FREE bidding sites, why would I want to pay to bid on anything, it is a waste of time calling them here is the number if you got scammmed customer service oe swipebids Good Luck 866-389-****

Guest

you just have to out smart them:

1) contact your credit card provider and dispute the transaction

2) record all your activities/bidding history everyday for at least 30 days from when you signed up...this will be your backup plan since they have 30 days money back guarantee which is false but worth a try...for my case, i noticed that my bidding history are deleted everyday so i reported it thru their "Found a Glitch?" link...ever since, they stopped deleting my bidding history

3) pray that your $150 will be returned :sigh

Swipebids auction scam, ripped off

I don't understand why the FTC doesn't step in and shut these sites down, when they are obviously relying upon peoples gullibility to stay in business. I know that if I cheated or lied to any Govt officer or organization, hoping that they wouldn't notice, my raggedy *** would be in jail pronto. How come they don.t protect the citizens who pay for "THEIR mortgages, car payments, vacations, kid's school fee's and everything else, that they have occasion to spend money on." I do know that everybody that works for these scam operations is going to die and then they will face the judgement of God, which I would take no delight in, but would hope that they would see beyond their love for money and expose the companies that they have worked for.

The whole ting is a rip the company is not even in the us but in england.

they charge you for signing up at 159$ and then ***.They then charge you 11.95 a month for what they call there VIP bidders.

Guest

I too fell into the scam but another poster said she wrote to Jennifer@***.com and received a refund. Although hesitant, being that my bank said they would have to pay the funds and I would have to send a dispute form in after the fact, I too contacted Jennifer.

I am happy to say that I HAVE recieved a full refund within 2 days of her contacting me back.

Although the site is extremely deceptive, they stood by their refund policy. :zzz

Guest

I have found Swipe Auctions to be only interested in getting the membership fee without allowing you to sign-up to learn about the site and process. When offered 100 free bids I signed up and was charged immediately for a $159 fee.

They suggested that I submit a written form for the refund to be mailed in. I find this company unprofessional and unethical. In today's business world we do not need rip-off artists.

Social Responsibility begins with the first interface with the organization. This company is a 0.

Guest

Hi All,

I contacted jennifer@***.com and within 5 business days received my refund. I hope this information helps! Take care.

Just like all the poker sites out there scamming sorry folks like you and I they fail to tell you you have a better chance of hitting the lottery than winning a bid or winning a poker game. Its all a way these sorry slobs are getting rich off people like us. I have learned the hard way that it is better to be honest than it is to be a thief. At the end of the day there is carma and that *** sucks for them!!!

You are now chatting with 'Carol'

Carol: Thank you for visiting SwipeAuctions.com Livechat Line. Our goal is to provide you with excellent customer service while assisting you with any questions or concerns you may have. We are here to help you win auctions, save money and have a great time. May we start with your name please?

you: Swipeauctions.com is a scam!

Carol: Could you please let us know the details of the problem which you are facing? So that, I can help you.

you: Swipeauctions.com customer service is a scam!

you: Can you help me?

Carol: Do you really think so?

you: Do you?

Carol: "Swipeauctions.com customer service is a scam!" I am referring to this

you: Can you help me? Or can you have me run around in circles like every other representative for Swipeauctions.com?

Carol: I would be happy to assist you with your concern, so in order to pull up the details of your account, can you please provide me with your full name, e-mail address and zip code?

you: Can I have yours as well?

you: Will I be charged for giving you my information?

Carol: No, you will not.

you: Are you sure? Because it seems that Swipeautions.com likes to trick people! Don't you agree?

you: Well?

Carol: Come to the point, if you have one.

you: How many customers have you satisfied today?

you: It is not your fault that the company you workfor is one of the worst companies according to Better Business Bureau(BBB).

Carol: Ok, so you have been charged for the membership fee and wants immediate refund.

you: What gives you that idea? Is it because you get that all the time? Kind of ironic isn't it?

Carol: We have your history with us.

Carol: You just need to send the refund form to us and we will refund the money back to your account.

you: I have no history with you! However, I am very knowledgeable about the continuous scam of Swipeauctions.com. I was just curious if you enjoyed your job considering that a company that treats their customers wrong, probably treats their employees the same way.

you: Would you agree?

Carol: You do not need to think about me.

Carol: Just send the refund form and get your refund, if you are not satisfied with the website.

you: Are you a member of the site?

Carol: No, I am not.

you: Is it against policy or do you see the scam as well?

you: I understand your hesitance. Swipeauctions.com probably monitors your chat sessions because they do not think their employees are trustworthy. When in fact Swipeaustions.com is not trustworthy.

Carol: Ok, just let me know your regard?

Carol: Is there anything further I can assist you with today?

you: No regards other than the fact of concern and interest. You seem like a very calm, respectable customer service representative and it is a shame that you work for a company that treats their customers horribly and not a company that you could be of good service to customers who are appreciated.

Carol: Thank you very much for chatting with us today. We hope the rest of your day is an excellent one.

Carol: Please feel free to come back for any further assistance.

you: I would like to thank you for your time and hope that you will some day find a better company to work for! Have a great day Carol!

Carol: Good Bye.

you: Good Bye!

Very big rip-off!

When you sign-up your charged for 300 bids at the tune of $159.00. When you bid some of the items have a minimum bid of 5 - and even though the price goes up by 1 penny, the cost to you for each bid is about 37 cents for each bid x 5 is $1.85 just to bid 1 penny and this for each and every person who bids. So the person who wins pays the final amount but the company gets $1.85 for each bid made - so if there are 50 bids they make $92.50 on top of the sales price.

False advertisement-swipebid.com

They are horrible- BIG SCAM. They show you a home page to set up account to bid on their auctions. No where on first few pages does it tell you that you are creating a membership for 150.00. It ask for credit card info for what you think is to place a bid at later date. Once you give them your information you are screwed it comes up saying you were just charged 150.00 for membership of 300 bids (@.50ea). I was under the assumption that .50 would be added when you placed a bid. When you try to cancel or get money back it says non refundable... I have tried every method available to talk with them to get my money back. So far no luck. I will contact the attorney generals office through better business bureau.

Call your bank push them to dispute it. I believe if the banks and the BBB and local Gov't agencies continue to hear how this company tells half the truth and how the

RIPP YOU OFF

They may step in and put some pressure on the company to reveal the $150.00 charge that the company put in small print in some other area so you have no clue as to what is happening. The best way to hurt these people is to SPREAD THE WORD RIPP-OFF everywhere u can. Facebook, emails to your friends free newspapers. Just use your imagination don't be lazy and get the word out like u r now. I am truly disabled and on a very fixed income. I saw it on A

NEW YORK POST ADVERTISEMENT. Shame on them if they really put this out or maybe swipebids made it look like that IDK. What I do know is I pushed my bank and after some effort I got my money back. Hurt them where it counts in their pocketbook. Hopefully after enough people complaining and spreading the word they will get it and stop the lies and or have to word things differently such as the TRUTH! As I said i am disabled and my fingers are killing me typing so much but I care about you and the people who satnd to lose $150.00 or more. Help me o help others and get satisfaction there. God Bless, AV

Guest

:(

Well it seems like we all were ripped off the same way. I hate to admit but they have you by the ----s!

If you really push your bank like I did you may get lucky and get some or all the money back. DO TELL: The best thing u can do is spread the news as many places as u can. Help others and by doing that u should get some satisfaction that there will be less money in the hands of these crooks! It's called the old JCP effect, tell ten people and ...

the only way to hurt these crooks is in their pocketbook so spread the word, take the time and post on their site that you're doing so. I am really disabled and on a very fixed income. I thought I could possibly save some money by trying this. I did push my bank to DISPUTE and got my $150.00 back.

But they are counting on so many people to just suck it up because legally they tell u but obviously not the whole truth. Usually when I see something TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, I check it out first, but I didn't I trusted the NEW YORK POST advertisement. Maybe they copied the NYP page etc. to look like it was in their newspaper who knows.

Someone spent a lot of time thinking this up and they covered their *** good. If the banks and BBB etc.

get enough of this they will pressure the company and hopefully ease up and they will start losing some money! SPREAD THE WORD!

SWIPE BIDS.COM RIPPOFF !!!!!!!!!!!

Guest

:(

I did the same exact thing, however I called my bank to dispute and they backed off and I got my money back. Shame on the NEW YORK POST for advertising this BS.

You would think a paper such as NYP would not advt something that can rip you off good. When I complaioned they offered to gove free bids to make me happy. I said if you're wrong which u r just refund me the $150.00.

They quickly send u a copy of what u agreed to and tell u your screwed! BE CAREFUL SWIPEBIDS.COM RIPPOFF!!!

In addition to the $159 robbery:

I bidded on $10 gift cards for $5 each. Sounded like a great deal until they added $4.95 shipping and handling for each card, which where all shipped in the same envolope.

Don't waste your time/money with swipebids! They are crooks!

Guest

Swipe bids is a group of swindlers...These people charged me $159 in the registering process...they should be taken to task.

Guest

I was swindled out of $159. Nothing on their site implied tehy would charge $159.

They said they had to make a nominal test charge to make sure my card was valid. Their idea of a nominal charge is to steal $159 froom a permanently disabled person who will not have money for food or medications at the end of teh pmonth because of these criminals.

Can't anyone in law enforcement do something? I am willing to file the charges in California.

Guest

I am the latest sucker to get scammed by this shrewdly unconciable money swibdling operation :upset

Talking to the night shift supervisor of this fly by night scam operation-- proved a total waste of time, without any prospect of recoving the $159 they scammed me out of, by misunderstanding and misrepresentation. Tell me where the the best place would be to report and file a complaint on these ***

Guest

Go to your bank and credit card company and report as fraud! They will get your money back for you unless it is usbank they are for the consumer not customer, they suck stay away from them! They might get it back but don't try to hard!Post aw many bad stuff about them as ppossible and people will put them out of business, they took my money i was ouut of town with no money to get home on!

I sure am glad I checked and found this site.

Total Scam by Swipebids.com

Swipebids.com is a complete scam. You are charged $150 when you register. I called customer service when I realized I would have a monthly charge of $11.95, but I was shocked to discover the initial charge of $150. The customer service representative told me the information was there when I entered my credit card information, but it is was, it was well hidden. This "auction" website is an absolute scam. When I tried to go back to the registration page to see if I could find information on the initial charge, I could not get back to it.. Don't be fooled by this website.

This scam is operated by Jesse Willms, a Canadian who has been doing this successfully for awhile now.If you are scammed, immediately report your credit card as stolen, cancel it to avoid future charges. Then contact the Federal Trade Commission, the attorney general of your state & file formal complaints. You can contact your better business bureau but they have almost zero influence as this scam is located out of the USA in the U.K. & Canada. This assclown needs to be stopped immediately as what they are doing is damnable whether illegal or not.
