VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER
I had a terrible experience at this dealership. I came in to trade my vehicle and had my heart set on a SUV....
It was mothers day weekend and is already a tough weekend for me as my sons father had recently passed away and a tree had fallen on it so it was just time for a new beginning. First I was interested in the Rogue-- again i came in for an SUV, they had me test drive a Platinum.. i absolutely loved it but realized it was a little too high priced for me, so they showed me a a Sentra..... on the other spectrum of what I wanted.
I was trading in my 2015 Altima where Carmax offered me $8000 (payoff was $9100) they tried to offer me $5000.
After showing them what Carmax would offer they went up to $6500.... Still not happy with this number the sales manager and salesrep tried to convince me that that's the most i would have gotten anywhere. Feeling vulnerable and frustrated i took a look into financing the Sentra even though its not what i wanted they just made me feel like that was the only thing i could afford. and worse it HAD to be the one on the showroom floor-- Kurt in finance said IM SELLING YOU THE CAR ON THE SHOWROOM FLOOR as if HE picked it out not me.
After i told him i needed time to think about it he said twice in front of my child and father "Im going to handcuff you to this table if you don't take this deal" Funny to him but it wasn't to me. I was in tears at this point but had been manipulated to thing its the only thing i could afford and was desperate for a new vehicle. All this being said i purchased a vehicle that was priced at 23---- guess where it ended up? Almost $30,000 after maintenance and extended warranty i didnt need.....
Fast forward 30 days, i felt robbed of my chance to be in a vehicle i want and could not stop thinking about it.
The Sentra is nice but again, NOT what i wanted. I called to let Sutherlin know how i felt and how i felt forced to buy this car. Billy put me right back with Kurt the person i didn't want to work with... and it got worse.
Kurt "wanted to make it right" so he put me in the S (basic) Rogue for 2 days to make sure i loved it before he would "make it work" (didnt discuss any numbers to do this) ... so what happened? of course i loved it..... my third trip back and what i thought was the last one.
i sat around waiting for him for 45 minutes just to be told that the GM had to be there to "approve" the deal the next morning. This deal supposedly would put me in Rogue, give me the payment range that i wanted to be in AND would get $4 back on stuff i didn't want or need from original deal (extended warranty and maintenance). What happens next not to my surprise?? He calls to say its not going to work and that i would have to pay $7000.
WHAT IN THE WORLD? WHY DOES IT KEEP CHANGING?!
At a last attempt, my boss called to see if he could help work something out and he was hung up on by Kurt, the finance guy who apparently doesn't have a great reputation ....
DON'T go here to buy a car unless you want to get lied to, dragged through the mud, forced to buy something you don't want and pay waaaay more at the end of the day then expected. Seem like a lot of other reviews can agree.
I'm in tears again at this point and giving up... hoping this post can help prevent the same thing happening to someone else
Seriously regret going here and wish i would have gone anywhere but sutherlin
Preferred solution: Full refund
Do not believe their online advertisements. COMPLETE SHAM
Went in for an internet priced vehicle. Took an hour and drove the vehicle.
When it was time to discuss price, the sales person added $2000 worth or upgrades to the advertised price, stating that they had added the things like "bumper protection" after listing the vehicle. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Of course the things they added were at the bottom of the quote sheet in pencil, with the internet price at the top in green marker. As soon as I complained, they erased it.
I refused to purchased the vehicle and for a solid 24 hours, they blew up my phone in calls, texts, and emails trying to get me to come back.
Who wants to buy a vehicle from someone who tries to cheat them in the first place?? BEWARE.

Sutherlin Nissan Mall Of Georgia Car Repair Review from Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania
My Titan with 42000 on it started leaking fluids from the drive train .i thought the transmission was leaking ...The four wheel drive would not ingage the axel had lost so much fluid
So i had my new truck towed .200 miles to southerlin nissan so i wouldnt blow the transfer case or transmission. I called the dealer and told me somebody would be there late to assist me. When the tow truck and my truck got there nobody and the gate was locked so i put my truck in the back of the dealer. The service rep told me they would cover the tow
Two days latter i got a call from the service depsrtment that said they did an ac upgrade. And found nothing wrong with the truck and now they wouldnt cover my 409 cost of the tow.. I told him to have my truck gone over by the lead tech and have all repairs esp. The leaking axel And front. I left the truck 6 days i new it needed major repair. The invoice listed 5 major repairs needed including bad seals brake problems and tranmission service. I was relieved now the truck was fixed. They wouldnt pay the tow bill though
. i drove the truck home feeling veey happy until now when i brought it to the dealer here in pa. They told me that needed new wheel bearings transfer case and front seals ..The warrenty would cover half the repair i was floored ...I called southlin nissan service department . i got a message they never returned my call . So i opened a complant against them for serious neglegance.. Nissan promptly covered my options and was very helpful ..Corperate issued a complaint Southerlin Then Soitherlin called me twice . but they never left a message ...STAY CLEAR OF SOUTHERLIN Nissan Mall of The Ga..

Earlier in the month I received an undated letter for “URGENT SAFETY RECALL” for my Nissan Pathfinder for passenger bag air inflator. NHTSA RECALL 14V-360-1. The letter indicated that this was the second notice and included a statement:
“NISSAN STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT YOU HAVE THIS SAFETY RECALL REPAIR PERFORMED IMMEDIATELY. IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS LETTER, YOU SHOULD NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE”
Let me start off by saying that I never received the first notice. I reluctantly proceeded to the dealer as instructed in the letter. Upon arrival that morning I presented the letter to the service writer. He immediately balled up the letter and discarded it. I was surprised and politely asked him to return it that I may retain it for my records.
The next thing I did was before signing the work order and reviewing it carefully was to write a statement: “NO OTHER SERVICES REQUESTED OR REQUIRED.”
That same evening I was driving home I noticed the “service engine soon” light had come on. When I got home I looked at the work order again; I wanted to be sure that no other work had been performed before returning to the dealer. I was wrong. I found that they had went under the vehicle to perform an inspection for rusted struts only to find out later that this recall was only for vehicles in the states where the weather would cause the parts to fail. Well since my vehicle was from California and has always been garage kept this would not apply to my vehicle. I returned my vehicle to the dealership the following morning. I spoke with the service manager Kevin. They took the vehicle in and a short time later a mechanic returned with a laundry list of what needed to be repaired. I was incensed and asked them why they ignored my request not to do any other work than that of what was in the recall bulletin. This would have only placed them inside the interior of the vehicle rather than underneath where all the problems were supposed to be. Apparently they took it upon themselves to perform the other unnecessary service and against my authorization.
The next thing I did was call 1-80*-647-**** National Consumer Affairs Department, Nissan North America and speak with an agent in Manila, Philippines. I was told the complaint would be addressed at local level Nissan Regional Consumer Affairs. This is when I started to realize how corrupt this organization this was. The regional office is located in Tennessee, when the rep called she did not give a last name and the caller ID was masked. This is when a vicious game of phone tag ensued.
I had to call back the National Consumer Affairs before I got a call back from anyone at the regional level. When the conversation began the women begin speaking to me as if I were a child making statements like “You wouldn't want to drive a vehicle around that was dangerous?”
Needless to say the conversation did not end well. I contacted the dealer to see what they wanted to do about the situation because it was apparent that the Nissan consumer’s affairs were just giving me the run around. Apparently they feel they had nothing to do with the service engine light coming on and they may be right. The problem is they violated a written order not to do any other work to the vehicle.

Sutherlin Nissan Mall of Georgia - Vehicle Tag Review from Atlanta, Georgia
I purchased a vehicle from them. It has been almost 2 months and I have an expired tag, the trade in has not been paid off and is behind, due to that.
I have called repeatedly to try to solve all my issues but no one ever returned my calls. I drove up there and spoke with the General Manager, which said no one had made him aware of this issue.
I was rushes out just to be told I would receive a call on Monday. I am highly dissatisfied with my dealings with Sutherlin Nissan Mall of Georgia.
NO CUSOMER SERVICE AT Nissan Suthe
I bought a used car from Sutherlin Nissan in GA with Vance. He was very cooperative with a making a sale, but did not care of offering customer service.
Having the vehicle less than a month, brakes were completely gone. My wife and daughter were in the vehicle when the brakes went bad. I could have lost both of them. He never offered a carfax or shows me any inspections of the vehicle.
I went to Sutherlin to try to fix it and they gave me a hard time. Now my AC is gone and they knew it was bad and they put a lot of Freon to keep it cool. David recommended I get extended warranty he said it covered the vehicle, it did not. I went back to see what they could do for me, basically he said IM SCREWED and I was *** him off.
WORST DEALERSHIP EVER!!!! I would never buy a vehicle from them.
All they care about is making a sale; they will lie just to get it. Please everyone DON'T get a vehicle from there, it almost took the life of my loved ones, that's how much they care.
