Susquehanna Bank Account Review from Abingdon, Maryland

My complaint is not with Susquehanna as a whole but with one branch in particular. This branch is located in Belair Md.,I've been banking with Susquehanna for about 14 years now but only visited this branch within the last 6 years. With that being said the other branches i do my business with treats me like a human being and not like just another account number. Im self employed so i still get paid with a paper check and when i make my deposits at the other branches i have access to my funds the same day. Well when i deposit my check at the branch in question, they make me wait 2 to 3 business days with a check that has Susquehanna stamped on it. The reason I'm so angry and will never visit this branch again is because i deposited a check on Saturday morning and had to spend my holiday weekend not being able to enjoy my hard earned money.i hope this message is seen and is helpful to someone who's thinking about banking at that branch ,think twice before u do it.

Susquehanna Bank Drive-Up Teller Review from Baltimore, Maryland

My car broke down on the side of the highway I had two small children with me ages five and three. My car has built in car seats so when my brother came to get me to take me to the bank we had to get into his excursion. I strapped my boys in the back with seatbelts and went to the bank to get out the cash for the tow man. The teller at the drive thru acted like she couldn't find my money. We sat there for over ten minutes. My five year old got out of his seatbelt to ask for a lollipop. Finally as we pulled off we were pulled over by the police. He told us he had to give us a ticket for not having a car seat and that THE PEOPLE at the bank called. He even said the ladies were wrong for calling him but he had to give a ticket. $357 per child! In court the officer dropped one of the tickets. Since when is it okay for a bank to call the police on a customer. It wasn't like they flipping over seats or something. When I called the branch manager to complain she pretty much said I was luring even though I have the officer to back me up I have trust fund money coming to this bank every month and this is how they treat me. I hate that place

You know what is illegal? Writing a check without having money in the account to cover it. Don't write or accept a post-dated check.

#857430

From what I hear from different people a lot of banks now don't bother looking at the date on checks before they cash them. It is better to make sure you have enough money in the bank at the time you write the check.

Finally a bank worth using

I live in Philadelphia and have used four different banks since 1989. After going to my previous bank with a problem and having them deliberately tell me something that cost me money, I changed my account to Susquehanna Bank on the advice of a cousin in the business. The tellers actually know my name! They go out of their way to be helpful. I had to take the balance down to a very low amount at one point, and I was assured there was no problem with that type of account. Even though there are only a few branches in Philadelphia, the quality of service far outweighs any inconvenience. Even the money orders are better than my previous bank - they type in the name of the payee so no one can steal it (if you want that.) As far as I am concerned, they are my last bank.
