I reminded him that I had paid him 50 previously to be locked into a purchase price. He then told me that was not to lock me in. I asked for my money back and he said I could only get a store credit. I told him I didn't want the credit and I no longer wanted to do business with his company because his aggression made me uncomfortable and I was going to write a review. His demeanor switched ONCE AGAIN. He said he would credit me my 50 dollars back to my card as long as I didn't write the review because he didn't want a bad review on his store. I handed him my card and he processed my refund. Then he threw my card on the table and asked me to sign the receipt while shaking his head. He seemed nice before he assumed he wasn't going to get my business. I was still going to get the furniture just not TODAY. I didn't want a random "delivery guy" who only accepts cash to deliver my furniture. I planned to get the furniture this weekend and pay cash for it and have a family member deliver it for me. Thanks to Antonio I will never visit surplus freight or any American freight ever again. I would rather pay double at Hanes or Ashley than to do business in an establishment where as a customer I am made to feel obligated to purchase OR ELSE.".

I ordered a dinette set on 5/16/2021 that I have yet to receive. After many attempts to obtain this set I want my money back and the location it was purchased at is no longer in business.
I have gotten the run around from everyone that I have spoken with about obtaining the furniture and the refund. The last time I contacted the store number I was given the incorrect corporate office number. They had me calling an insurance company! WOW!!
I just want my money back now...please and thank you! I can send the invoice upon request.

I bought a hideabed from surplus furniture. I had it for 3 weeks.
I went to fold it up to put it away and the rivit broke causing a bar to bend. I couldn't fold it up and I couldn't pull it back out. I called the store and told them what happened. They said it was a manufactureres defect and they would replace it.
But it would take a couple weeks as they had to order it. 3 weeks later I called again and was told they ordered the part and they didnt know when it would come in. I just had to wait. Another
3 weeks later I called again and again was told the same thing.
I told them Ivwas tired of waiting as I had nothing to sit on in my living room. I told them I wanted a refund or a new hideabed. They said the couldn't do that. I asked to speak to a manager.
They gave me a number for customer service. I have called 3 times they don't answer the phone and don't return my calls. I found a number for corporate office through pissed customers. I called then and they said I had to call customer service.
I told them that nobody answers the phone at customer service and they dont return calls.
He said he couldnt do anything for me that I had to call customer sevice. It has now been almost 2 months.
Preferred solution: Full refund

Headache pain at back when using the bed and no assurance of help from the manager.
Three months ago my husband bought 2 queen size bed for my kids. at first my kids were excited but after a few weeks they don't want their bed in spite the fact that we bought cartoon characters covers and bed sheets which they love. We decided to sleep with the bed in exchange of our own bed from my kids. At first we notice we were uneasy and can't sleep tight. We thought it was just those days that we are not in good mood sleep days....However weeks past its not just the uneasiness but also pain at the lower back.Again it never come up to our mind that it was the culprit bed until I was pissed of and complain to my husband that the queen size bed tilt my body..it puts me in the middle after a few minutes even I sleep near the edge. So we decided to sleep at the sofa floor for a two weeks now. I never complain sleeping on the floor rather this culprit sofa bed bought at surplus by my husband.
My husband complain to the store.They call back at me. What frustrate me is that they interrogate me with questions that made me a fool....like the manager asking maybe the kids are jumping because he also has kids too...well not mine...my kids are not ignorant between trampoline and bed. And he wondered why we bought queen size each for my kids????? (like when was the written scripture that prohibited to buy queen size for my kids, its not your money anyway!) HE DOUBTED THE CUSTOMERS!!!! i MEAN WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE YOU HAVE!!! We were looking forward to take THESE BED things being cared because we want it long-term to be with us.....the manager tried to boast at me that his somebody greater than me...the *** I cared....I paid my money to the things I want to buy that is efficient and new....and his closing remarks was " you know we are only retailer...we will report to the supplier but whatever they say we can't do anything at all. My goodness!
Should I get a lawyer just to waste my time with this kind of store and people. How many customers you will treat this way. I will escalate this matter if this bed is not replace with better one. I| did not just waste my money for a garbage I get!!!!!...
Rude behavior by manager and cheating
I orderd bed and mattress in 2nd April from surplus furniture ... Manager promised me to deliver till 9th April..
On 9th April when I called them they told me your order is srill not there and manager promised me to deliver my order till 16th April or else he will give me free delivery .. On 19th when I called him for my order he told me same thing nor ready yet...
as per his words he suppose to give me a free delivery, when I told him to give me he replyed me thar you are liar and lying for $80. what I should do now?
Surplus Freight Furniture
I ordered my daughter a bedroom set to be delivered December 15th. It should have been a FULL SIZED headboard...bedframe...night table...double dresser and mirror and single dresser.
I received a damaged QUEEN SIZED headboard....no bedframe...a double damaged dresser...mirror and no single dresser. I have called the queens store several times and NEVER GET A RETURNED CALLED. I went to the queens showroom to be told the manager will call me and there was no one there to assist me.
I have reported this business to the better business bureau. I have since done a chargeback with my credit card company and have notified the attorney generals office!

I was finally issued a refund, in full for the dinette set!
I received an email from Michelle Craddock, Sales Audit. She sent me a doctored invoice, dated in September, saying they never charged me for my dinette set.
My bank statement shows I made the purchase on 5/16. This is the most bogus attempt to not give me a refund for merchandise they failed to deliver on. The date they say the purchase was made, I was not at the store. So how was my card swiped and there's no transaction on my September statement that matches their invoice.
And if that was all that I purchased, why was the Gastonia location able to see my order and attempt to help me with the dinette in May 2022? I am thoroughly pissed that they tried to get rid of me by producing fake documents and lying!
