Very disappointed customer

Got there, they had no room for us. We booked a pool view room, they didnt tell us the pool got shut down so all the view we had was a black tarp and lots of noise from construction workers, we had no hot water all week, toilet would only flush half the time, our buffet was shut down, we were not told, we had no toilet paper most of the time, asked the front desk for some, they said no.

I spent half the week in my room with food poisoning, our phone didnt work, we were in darkness because the power went out multiple times at the resort, a break in in our building which was very nerve wrecking. We had to wait until the next day for them to find us a room then they offered us to go to another resort over 2 hours away!! We had already lost 2 days of our vacation. If we took this we would lose another day and we didnt even know what the resort was like.

Overall not a very nice vacation. If we had known they shut the pool and buffet down we would have switched resorts before our trip

Preferred solution: Any kind of voucher or compensation would be great since we paid $2775 to go to this resort mostly because of the pool and buffet and we were not informed they closed right before we got there!!

I need to speak to someone directly about my trip to Punta Cana 9/17-9/24. I asked prior to leaving on 9/17 to purchase trip insurance - not because of the hurricane but because of health issues (heart and lung).

I was told that because I didn't ask for it when I first booked that I could not purchase it. Rather than lose $2,300 for my husband and I, we went on the trip which was a nightmare for me. I have come home sick and am not going to let this go. I will pursue this issue even if it involves a lawyer.

I have booked vacation with Apple on a number of occasions - as recently as October 2016 to Punta Cana. I asked to purchase this insurance weeks before the trip because of my health issues and some new heart concerns. The Apple representatives were not present for discussion and the Sunscape personnel had no idea what they were doing. All they were interested in was selling you something.

My issues are completely related to health. Please have someone contact me at (618) 293-**** to avoid legal action.
