Trusted POS Sunflower Moving & Storage with move from Kansas to California. Wife and I purchased our home 2yrs prior to move, furniture/appliances were practically brand new.
The house was occupied only by two people, no pets, no family or visits, or gathering, hence move, therefore, understand every item in our home was in excellent to new condition. I informed POS company how much furniture I had; all boxes already packed: all our personal items, except the large expensive items, boxes numbered and categorized myself- I am retired military, this wasn't my first rodeo.
Sales: Very shady- Received quote for $11K but the end result was $18K+ because they are inept. During process of the move, making the payments, extremely shady! Forced to use only cash or money orders, to pay movers; almost like paying smugglers.
Seems these idiots are hiding money, no taxes on cash or money order, eh? Doesnt appear to be legal.
Pickup: Arrived late in the afternoon with no remorse. Took two very long days and very late nights, claimed only needed one. Staff coming/ leaving, minimizing packers each time, prolonging time.
I even bought them lunch; because thats what honorable military people do; we care about people.
Delivered: Three new $50 bins for this move, watched them throw it around like inept uncaring idiots on pickup; it didnt make it, not just cracks, they demolished all three. You cant claim bins, so they have free reign to throw it around. Purchased brand-new cabinet for the garage and started to remove the doors for better shipping care, told to leave them on, they will pack & secure better. When they arrived at delivery, Cabinet inside the truck with 0 protection showed multiple unrepairable dents; essentially also demolished.
Brand-new tool chest top, upon unloading they slid it across the concrete floor scratching what was once new. In addition, Fragile boxes were placed in the storage facility, under many heavier boxes without a single care, fortunately I packed well. Sadly, they damaged brand-new washer and dryer, refrigerator, and freezer; These were NEW costing thousands of dollars, now looked like something out of a thrift store. Their ineptness also resulted in damage to expensive recliners, tables, and other furniture items; essential destroyed, some damage beyond repair and/or scratches and nicks unbecoming of a normal move.
They left all their trash!
Criminal: Not allowed to inspect as they unload; every time I asked to see the items, the lead told me with a threatening attitude, Its okay, its okay each time, I dont have time he said, I attempted three times, and he became angrier at each request. I stopped because this was turning into an altercation, I had nothing to defend myself from this crazy individual, and therefore let it go. Signed delivery document in fear of escalation, he was already extremely upset at the time it took; didnt care about the damages. But I had 9 months to file a claim or so I thought.
I found later If you dont say something at delivery you forfeit your right to claim that item. In addition, 12 bins with security tags I had placed on each of them, were broken. Looking for things today but you cant claim it and they know it.
Finale: The final result was over $7,000 in damage, none of the damage incurred was anything I packed; it was all their packing and handling and showed horrendous careless mishandling.
This POS company uses Anthem Claims Management as their claims adjuster. They are just as crooked and a perfect match for POS Sunflower.
The finalized claim a criminal $558.00 and I must pay for a notary to get the funds.
They used weight instead of value as their reasoning, then purposely left out all the heavier items like ALL the appliances and only used the weight of light furniture.
This goes without saying anymore DO NOT USE THIS POS COMPANY!
Elizabet M, , Derrick Crossen, Austin Ferrin, Mery, foreign movers, and managers who cleverly avoided talking to me, but made the decisions to screw me over. You people are a pos disgrace.
