Disappointing experience with Summit Health (Rye, NY)

While Summit Health may be sufficient for routine checkups or basic health services, I strongly caution anyone who may require urgent or specialized care. Our experience has been incredibly frustrating and, frankly, concerning.

We've been waiting over a week just to receive an authorization form for a PET/CT scan—an essential step in moving forward with a potentially life-threatening diagnosis. There's no direct access to the administrative office; you can only leave voicemails and hope someone responds. After multiple follow-up calls, the few times we did hear back, the staff had no knowledge of our issue or any progress made.

This lack of urgency, coordination, and communication is unacceptable in situations where time is critical. Even worse, there seems to be no way to escalate the issue—no direct contact for senior leadership, and certainly no transparency from their CEO or executive team.

Summit Health may be fine if you're looking for a flu shot. But if you're facing a serious health challenge and your life depends on timely care—look elsewhere. You deserve better.
