  • - Charlie Kirk is vile and linked to cancel culture.
  • - It says firing Drew for a joke was unjust.
  • - They call for Drew's rehiring and apology.
Original review updated Sep 14, 2025

Charlie Kirk was a vile, evil man who gave nothing to advocate the destruction of the LGBTQ+ community, gave power to a man who shouldn't even have made it to office, and even empowered cancel culture against any and everyone who ever quoted him. One tweet, which was simply a joke, one in poor taste in fact, should not have been a signal to fire Drew, no matter how terrible it may have been.

The people who phoned in all those complaints and emailed you to fire Drew are the same people who just want Ghost of Yotei to flop and Sucker Punch Productions to go bankrupt. People outright drove Drew to turn off replies because of how many vile and hateful comments she was getting. Ghost of Yotei may be the final game I'll ever get from this company because of cancel culture canceling anyone who tells the truth or makes a poor taste joke. I saw nothing wrong with Drew's Mario & Luigi joke; only those who hate how 'woke' the company is have a problem with it.

It doesn't help that you are about a month away from the release of Ghost of Yotei and now people don't even want to keep their pre-orders or purchase the game in the future from all this!

Instead of focusing on what could have been money in the wallet by ignoring the people who hate the game, you caused outrage over a single tweet, so rehire Drew and apologize for attempting to ruin Ghost of Yotei's launch by creating drama.

In my eyes, firing someone for expressing personal views on a personal account is a violation of their free speech, just like how Charlie Kirk had his free speech violated.

Many companies like this has already been getting threatened with hatred ever since Charlie Kirk was murdered, and people have been losing their jobs left and right for reminding others how terrible he was while people who are more vile than a Mario & Luigi joke are keeping their jobs. Drew never actually celebrated Charlie Kirk's death, the people who reported her however claimed it.

Preferred solution: Apology

User's recommendation: Steer clear if you are angry about the firing of the Senior Dev.

I don’t do any social media but you open yourself up to repercussions when you post where you are employed at.

Sucker Punch Productions - Celebrating Assassinations

In all my years I haven't seen a more callous disregard for human life, and I was at ground zero at 8:46 am on a warm day in September. It is especially disgusting with such reckless abandon they celebrate the actions of an assassin's bullet.

I'm speaking, of course, about the death of Charlie Kirk.

This young man was taken from this world in such a horrendous display. A father, whose children will never know his embrace again. His children will not only have to grow up without a dad, but his death will be played on repeat ad nauseam for the rest of their lives. I hope they don't have to go to public school.

My political beliefs are relevant, as are my positions on Mr.

Kirk's opinions. The truth of the matter is that a man was robbed of his life, and his memory should not be further tarnished by such bile.

That being said, going forward I will no longer be purchasing products with the "Playstation" branding or "Sony" logo.

I will not be purchasing Ghost of Yotei regardless of actions taken by your company, if any. I believe this is an opportunity for you to re-evaluate your companys social media practices.

User's recommendation: Never give money to those that hate you.

  • - Employees including Kelly Snyder celebrated the murder of Charlie Kirk on social media, as a PS owner I won't purchase their games.

BThey have multiple employees ( Kelly Snyder and at least three others that didnt leave their real names) that have posted celebration for the murder of Charlie Kirk. Im disgusted that this company employees people that openly post this on social media and as a PS owner and customer I will not purchase any of their games because of this! Shame on you all!

User's recommendation: BOYCOTT THIS COMPANY
