Verified Reviewer |Forester has MAJOR flaw at 170k km's
Be warned that they have a known CVT issue
Had Subaru Forester serviced and rego checked. Told them about a juddering at low speed.
Returned with rego and advised fixed.
3 DAYS LATER, when car looked at again, advised that the gearbox had a malfunction and car was effectively worth $1000 for scrap.
Car is 10-year-old (2015) but only done 170k kms.
Always serviced at Subaru service centre. Car is modified so cannot just 'replace'.
A CAR SHOULD LAST BEYOND 170k kms
- Critical major component failure at moderate kilometers
Preferred solution: Support to get this 'end of life' issue fixed as the rest of the car has plenty of life in it.
User's recommendation: Avoid
