Horrible Shipping and Worst Customer Service

I would highly suggest looking elsewhere if you're planning on purchasing birds, or having anything to do with their customer service. I purchased a male black lace classic old frill pigeon from here and I've never seen a living thing shipped with such little regard. The bird was in a completely unmarked box, had tape over majority of the holes, and the top wasn't taped correctly so it ripped. I had contacted USPS about this, partially due to the bird having to go 48 hours without water, and they informed me of the unmarked box. When I contacted Stromberg's customer service the person I talked to, Heather, was beyond rude. They rudely talked over me from the beginning, claimed USPS was lying and insinuated that I was lying as well. I've since provided them with picture proof. They also tried to blame my local post office, which is run by the nicest people! The postal worker expressed his concern over the bird due to it not making any noise, but was able to look in through the large tear on top and see a living bird. Over the years I've had dozens of living things mailed to me, including feeder insects and plants. Those had boxes labeled as containing live animals or live plants and were securely taped without covering the majority of the holes. All in all this interaction was by far the worst I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing, from how poorly the bird was shipped to how absolutely deplorable their customer service is. I will be purchasing from reputable breeders from now on and suggest that you do the same and not spend your money here.

I ordered some quail eggs from Stromberg's on Feb. 7th in order to get them incubated before this south Texas heat set in. After 3 weeks of waiting I called to check on when I could expect them. I was told that their suppliers ship them when they become available and they could'nt give me a delivery date. I found another supplier who could and did get the eggs to me so I cancelled my order with Stromberg's chickens. They then had the audacity to charge me $10 for cancelling. I do not think this is fair since it was their fault that they could not get the eggs to me in a reasonable time.

Stromberg's/Mannlake provide no customer service

Ordered from them a couple of times and have learned my lesson. Imagine amazon if they didn't respond to you at all. You're nothing to them. Their customer service is abysmal and non-existent. Their packaging won't survive shipping. The quality of their hatching eggs is awful. I got a buff duck egg that looked like a wrinkly football and actually had a pinhole in the shell from being malformed and weak. The nest boxes I ordered had not even shipped when the delivery date came and went. I reached out to them requesting cancellation but heard nothing until I got a shipping confirmation after about another week. They just went ahead and shipped it after I told them that it would not arrive early enough. They could care less which is evidenced by their lack of proper packaging. $400+ dollars for bent up nest boxes that are going to be more bent up when I try to pry them apart. What a fun and enjoyable customer experience! Never again!

Terrible!

Bought a white dove for a companion for another dove that was given to me. He had Trichinosis, vet gave meds for that then meds for yeast, then lump on side, got xrays yesterday, given anti inflammatory, died today.

I think I was sent a sick dove . Only had him for 2 months and 3 days.

Didn't get to find out what the lump was, he was supposed to go back to the vet on the 27th but died today.

I didn't really want to order a mn animal through the mail but I couldn't find any doves. Very bad idea, no one really knows, what condition they're kept in.

Chicks shipped September 30. It is now October 3 and no chicks. Tracking says it will be October 5 before they arrive. I paid for two day shipping. That will make 5 days in a box for the poor chicks for a 500 mile trip. Ridiculous

Did you ever get the baby chicks? Were they okay?

Poor babies. I don't know why it will not let me post without typing fifty words so I am just taking up space.

I am concerned for the welfare of baby chicks. I own Chicken Heaven On Earth Chicken Rescue Sanctuary.

Double Charger's

I placed an order with this company on the 5th of april at which time they charged my credit card which was fine but on the 8th when my order shipped i realized we would need another item so before i ordered it i checked my bank ballance and discovered that they charged my credit card again. I contacted them by e-mail and they said it just looks like you were charged twice unfortunately this is how alot of credit cad transactions are but you were only actualy charged once, so i called the company. Over the phone same thing no you were only charged once. I was very upset because i keep a close eye on my bank ballances and knew i had indeed been charged twice which was verified by 3 different people at my bank. Faced with this evidence they finaly sent an e-mail confirming as i said from the begining that I had been charged twice and telling me the money would be credited back to my card. The part that upsets me the most about it is the fact that they knew according to the info they gave me with their admission e-mail that they had charged me twice and still they lied about it twice and tried according to that same info to cover it up before i even noticed but i found out before they could cover it up. They then said there's no chance of it hapening again it really was a one time mistake but I look at it like this, if it happened once it can happen again and how many others has this happened to and they just didnt realize it before this company had a chance to lie or cover it up. My suggestion to anyone else who comes across this company needing items for their pet chickens is if you can find it somewhere else get it there instead to avoid having to deal with the headache that I did in getting this matter resolved.
