Strings Italian Cafe

I went to Strings Italian Cafe after a strong recommendation from one of my close friends. I ended up going to the one in Vacaville, CA on Harbison Dr.

After arriving we were seated promptly and they didn't seem to be very busy which is why it seemed to be so odd that it took at least a half hour for our waitress to come and ask us if we wanted drinks. Right away I could tell that she was slurring and her eyes were red and dilated. I wasn't really concerned, it's not too uncommon in this day and age to see this everywhere you go. After ordering our drinks they were finally brought to us another half hour later.

We were probably at the restaurant for an hour before we got to order (they weren't busy). Something really weird was going on and it seemed as if there wasn't a manager that night. There was some arguing in the back and at one point (without ever complaining) another waitress came up to us and asked if everything was o.k., I let her know that I thought our waitress was drunk, she said that she had also suspected that. The drunk waitress had seen the other waitress talking to us and shot us an evil eye.

When we finally got our food, she almost dropped a hot plate of food on my five year old niece. It was a very uncomfortable experience and I was highly unsatisfied with the way the business was ran that night. I'm not sure what it's usually like because it was my first time there. I emailed the company about my experience with all of the details, including my servers name, and they never replied.

I thought for sure that it must have been a mistake, because I can't imagine a company ignoring such a bad complaint, so I emailed again. After six months, still no response. I'm saddened to say that customer service no longer exists.

All I really wanted was an apology with hopes that they would correct the situation. I guess that's too much to ask.
