No guitar, no reimbursement

I ordered a guitar in June 2012. Paid a $1200 deposit. Expected build time for the guitar was 4-6 months. After 14 months I was informed that the guitar was broken - I spent 18 months in Canada for the sole reason of investing in a guitar. Now I am back in South Africa. Three months after I was informed that I will not be receiving my guitar and I still have not been reimbursed for the guitar or the bus ticket (valued at $90) I purchased to pick up the guitar. I have been trying to contact the company. I receive messages from Jim Lewis such as: "You're not the only one waiting for money." Strictly 7 Guitars is still selling guitars, merchandise and they are signing up artists with signature models more than ever. What do I do in order to get my money back? What a headache.
