On 4/9/12 we purchased granite counter tops through Lowe's Home Improvement. Lowe's contracted Stone Systems of Central Texas to provide and install the granite. Stone Systems of Central Texas gave us the days and times of M-F 9-4 to select our granite. Do to our high profile employment we could not make these date, they selected the stone for us. On 5/3/12 Stone Systems of Central Texas installed granite in our home. The Granite had a definite STAIN on it that we believe came from the oil in the cutting machine, as explained to us by a 3rd party granite company. Stone systems VP Kelly Masters explained this to be a Iron deposit. This Stain is not to the Lowe's standards and should have never gone out the Stone Systems door. Lowe's Sore and Area managers have agreed with us and have refunded our money with the guarantee that the new stone from a 2nd supplied would be to their standards and match the sample we chose. Not only was the granite STAINED, but the product was installed incorrectly. There are several edges that are uneven and jagged. These areas can not be hidden. Stone Systems of Central Texas is a member of NARI, Kitchen and Bath Industry News, and the Home Builders Assoc. of Greater Austin. With this being said you would think that their customer service would be a little better than "please leave a message". We have left messages with Kelly Masters, Rick McGuire, Adam Anderson, Robert Contreras, Chester Layne without a response from anyone as of 5/20/12. I guess a company that is this big that does the installation for both Lowe's and Home Depot does not care about the details or the customer.
