Verified ReviewerATM took my card
I do not advise using the ATM for after-hours business. The ATM takes your card, and then you have to start from the get-go. After that, you have to wait to get a new card from them during business hours. So, if you have auto pay, you're not able to pay your bill(s) that are due, and you're charged overdraft fees because you can't even deposit the money for those bills when the ATM eats your card. This has happened to me for the absolute last time. I'll be closing my account on Monday. I've given them chance after chance after chance, and I no longer have the patience or money for them to take from me anymore.
Just a fair warning for anyone that needs to use the ATM after hours.
They also say that they have a weekend and after-hours line, which there is not!
STCU, I am done!!!

Verified Reviewer |Rude snotty staff members from lowest to highest in status, way too much control over your right to banking, chat person rude and ***
Like I said, just walking into any location gives me anxiety because I forgot my member number and my secret code. I can sense the judgment emitting from the employees huddled together, talking about something or someone. Then they all stop and look right at me because I'm not very good with money and am dealing with horrendous credit union policies that threaten to take your money and impose jail time if you lose your debit card and/or get scammed, like I have two times.
While searching for grants for multiple reasons, I landed on what I believed was a 'legitimate foundation'. I can't recall the details, but the scammers were very convincing in their legitimacy and talked me out of my account number and username - however, not my password or my pin number. They either didn't need that info, or had already hacked me before or after speaking on the phone with them, I'm not certain. They had my Cash App info as well, and emptied my checking account of $2000, making multiple transactions of around $500 each.
STCU - Spokane Teachers Credit Union locked my account, and I spoke with their investigator. He immediately became hostile, throwing accusations, threats, and expressing skepticism towards every answer I gave. This experience completely turned me off, as everyone, from the bottom to the top status-wise, was rude the moment I told them my name. It felt like a neon flag was raised, alerting them to ensure they spoke to me in a condescending manner, which only made me feel worse due to this situation occurring at a time when I was trying to get serious about my financial life and credit. As a result, I lost all interest in that decision.
STCU locked my account, wouldn't let me use my debit card, and I needed special permission to get a new one, which came with embarrassing terms. They also reversed the deposits and withdrawals made by the scammers from my checking account. Somehow, STCU managed to zap $1000 from my Cash App, forcing my account into negative $1000, leading to me owing Cash App $1000.
STCU also kept the money I had in my accounts before this happened. Not understanding how all this happened is frustrating and the resulting stress is even worse. The experiences with STCU, as well as with the individuals who targeted me, were extremely humiliating.
