Highland Stater Bros #8
On 11/10/2022 at 9:20pm I decided to give the stater Bros App and digital deals a chance, BIG MISTAKE. Arrived to the cash register to be "helped" by Employee BRYEEZ.
No greeting, no eye contact but was quick to give the directive "I DONT NEED THE WATER ON THE CONVEYOR" (Refering to my two cases of water) she rung up all my items and gave me my total and I showed her the SB app and digital deals barcode. She was completely clueless and said "what's that I can do anything with that" I said "I'm new to it also but it's a barcode may be scan it" she replied with an anoyed and inconviniensed tone "no give me your phone number" I was patient and gave her my number, She replied" that does not come up" so I asked if there was anybody besides you that knows the program like a manager? And she said "I AM THE MANAGER" with a smirk in her face like she won something...lol So I said "really? Like a little night shift manager or a Manager?" Because she obviously had no sense of company programs or customer service...
I think this hurt her feelings because she just kept on going on about how she was not in the wrong and she was not being rude. I cut my losses on the miserable couple of dollar discount with the digital deals and just decided to pay full price and walk away. As I'm walking away she kept looking to engage on a back and forward yelling across the store! so I knew she was deep in her feelings for some reason.
The security came outside as I was walking to my car and noted my calm tone and kindly asked "my man what happened" I explained briefly and he said " waoo I'm sorry" it is sad when the best customer service in a Stater Bros comes from the one person without the uniform. Sad for "REAL MANGER MARIO AGUAYO" to be represented by his team that way, very unimpressed with lack of company program training. Also, it is sad Stater Bros is offering $500 dollars of hard earned Gross profit money to promote their app and loyalty programs their own "little night shift managers" Don't even know. I am deleting the app and never looking into stater bros loyalty programs again.
IF YOU HAVE IT GET RID OF IT, BIG MISTAKE, THEY DONT STAND BY IT AT STORE#8 or I can prove the "little night shift manager Bryeez does not know it" GOOD LUCK STATER MARKETING YOUR SPINNING YOUR WHEELS HERE AT STORE #8 Adress 1085 W Highland Ave. San Bernardino Ca 92405
TODAY this cost me a few dollars in discounts i will never see again but im confident with employees like BRYEEZ as your "MANAGER" you will loose a lot more...

Horrible customer service
I went to the Cathedral City Ca location 8/7/2022 to recycle my 250 bottles ( 5 small bags counted) which would only be 12.50 and was turned away from the service manager. I felt discriminated against since the guy told me they cant take any of the bottles yet the store manager and other managers have accepted my recycle bottles in July and June with no problem and no limit.
I was grilled and asked what the person looked like who helped me and their names. Unbelievable!
The service manager told me to come back when the store manager was around.
It was embarrassing the way the guy was talking to me and I had my 8 year old child with me.
Mind you gas money is not cheap. The lady at the register had a smirk on her face and the service manager was rude and told me he could not help me.
Unbelievable how I was treated and cant believe the customer service at Stater brothers has fallen very low.
Preferred solution: Clear up whether we can bring recyclables, post a limit and everyone needs to be on the same page, ever one needs to know how to complete a recycle transaction, better customer service to all race.

Lousy Meat
I have been going to Staters since the day it opened the store at Ave J and 20th east in Lancaster, Ca. We bought all our meat there and and any other products we needed.
The last year we have been totally disappointed with the meat we have purchased. I am 88 years old and have worked in a meat market and my 4 years in the navy broke down sides of beef and cooked a lot of beef so I know meat very well. In the last year the meat at Staters has gone for ok to terrible.
One time I brought back two steaks that were rotten. Another time It was two b pork chops they smelled really bad.
I purchased a Prime Rib and it was so tough you could hardly cut it with a knife to eat it. We have purchased Steaks at other times that were so tough we threw them out. I don't know where you are getting your meat but my guess its Austrailia or some other country that will sell low grade beef cheap, certainly not prime. thats for sure.
I bought a grapefruit last week and it was so old it had no taste and was bad in the middle, at a buck 49 I took it back. My wife and I have decided we will by no more meat at Staters aand will shop carefully for fruit which we buy all the time. My wife has cancer and she eats a banana every day and I buy oranges which are old most of the time. The grapes are outstanding.
We like the store and have known the clerks for years and they are wonderful.
I'm sorry the meat is so bad but at our age we can't afford to pay $9 or 10 dollars a pound and then throw it away. I'm sure you will do fine because the people don't know good meat and probably will go on buying low grade beef at Staters.

Custumer beware. I have used stater brothers stores for years.
Lately the produce look like it was bought at a 99 cent bargain bin.
Awful! Am looking for another store that gives the custumer what they pay for and doesn't make excuses for poor products and services.
