They took my website offline in an attempt to do business with one of their parters

In July, 2018, startlogic sent out emails to many persons in about excessive spam on their website. In my case, they give me 1/2 a day to remedy the situation. I then received another email that they will take my website offline since the situation was not fix. I became suspicious that a company would remove someone's website for a 3rd party spam report and asked who reported my website. I found out their partner 'sightlock security' was the one who is reporting websites. This is a conflict of interest since sightlock sells security scans. It was obvious that startlogic was trying to pressure their customers to purchase one of sightlock's security scans. I will not forget what startlogic has done. I will now try to find other hosting alternatives. Ipower had done the same several years ago and paid a big price by losing several customers over it. I hope for their sake they do not go down the same path. This is so very wrong. PS. When I called into and press option 4 (website security) I was routed to their 3rd party partner, sight lock who had my email address and other information about my site. _________________________________________________ Here is the letter,, some personal details were removed: We have received a complaint from third party that a large amount of spam registrations being generated through the script '/wp-login.php' from your website http://www.p We advise you to add reCAPTCHA to your registration form or other security method to prevent these spam registrations. Unhappy customer

Startlogic send my Domain renewals to an old email address I am no longer using even though I updated my email with them thus they turned off my emails. Since they have no phone support you can only CHAT with people from India who have NO access to any data or the ability to turn your site back on once you are paid up again. I renewed my Domain and 4 day later they have done nothing after 3 chat sessions which all last an hour and nothing gets done. The last person said they have requested it be set but it will still take several days before anyone turns it back on. This is my business email thus I get NO communications from my customers who this I may be out of business since I am not replying to them. Nothing I can do it seems since they won't give up a phone number.

Startlogic.com - Stay away - Deleted my Website

If anybody uses "startlogic.com" to host your website, cancel and stay away. They were sending e-mail notifications (due 7/25/16) for me to renew to an old e-mail account and cancelled/deleted my Website . I have been with them for 8 years and they deleted everything. I have a phone number and address on file with them which they chose not to use. Terrible, Terrible company, stay away!!! Unauthorised credit card used for unauthorized domain renewal

In January Startlogic locked access to my site Old Forge Coal Mine for reported excessive bandwidth and too large a site. I was paying yearly for unlimited bandwidth and 50GB storage. I have no control of who downloads from the site and only had 16 GB of storage used....

This is a poorly run company do not waste your money with them. They send you an email to reset your password when you go to the link you get this message: Your link has expired or is invalid. Please regenerate a new one using 'Request reset email' option below.

All I can say is that this company has the WORST customer service possible. You can expect a wait time of at least 1 to 2 hours for service by phone and easily 50+ minutes by internet chat. I was told by 3 service people over 1 month ago I would get a call from a manager. Still no call. In fact, the last contact from support advised me "we don't contact our customers but I was more than welcome to call back." This is bad business for any company. The sad thing is that the company raves about its excellent levels of customer support.

Startlogic is the most dishonest company I have run into in years. I canceled them after they wanted to double my rate. They told me they were going to bill my credit card anyway.

Besides all that has already been mentioned here, you can add false advertisement to the list. They aren\'t honest about their pricing and what comes with the different packages they offer.

If you order ProLogic hosting services, they claim you get unlimited web space and free shopping carts as well as a free site builder. However, if you want to actually build a site that has all the benefits they claim to offer in the ProLogic plan, (unlimited web space, free shopping cart), you have to pay $15 a month more! So when you purchase the ProLogic plan so you can have unlimited web space and free shopping carts, instead of paying the regular $5.95 a month, you actually have to pay $20.90 a month.

It\'s extremely misleading and VERY upsetting! :(

Absolutly the worst comany I have ever dealt with. I have spent hours dealing with their customer service. They never could get my site uploaded and live on the internet.

These people should not sell the product that does not work!
