A falling star

update on oct 4 posting.... service man came from a&e factory service to look at the refrigerator.i told him the story on it as i knew it.i pulled the ref away from the wll for him. He got down on the floor an took the panel off an wiped up the water that had dripped off the compressor and looked it over for about 10 or 15 min.first thing he said this ref has been worked on an went to his truck an got his gauges an checked the freon told me that it was over charged an that he let some out an left. So i called connie (my niece ) an told her what happened an that i would like to return the ref an get my money back as we have had nothing but trouble with it.so she agreed to send me a check in the mail. she told me she did some research an found out that there was about 25 that had leaks that was pulled of the line .(i have a tape of that conversation ) so today i get a letter from star the letter states that i canceled the appointment with a&e service witch is not true an what i told her was a lie an that an that star appliance will no longer have any involvement on my behalf in this case and will no longer except calls from me or my representative sincerely connie heser service manager star appliance. i just want to remind connie when this first started she told me an my wife that she would take care of us.ya sure did but i will spread the good word about star to every one i know an any way possible.I will find out who the service man was that said we canceled If you want to get SCREWED an not even a kiss Go ahead an go to star appliance an ask for Pat the *** there is a lot more i could say but don't have time

Sometimes it is easy to forget that your local dealers do not make the appliances they only sell them for the manufacture. Nobody wants to sell bad products but unfortantly there is a few units that are made that have problems.

The manufacture did replace your floor and refrigerator just as promised. The dealer by any means does not need to replace the refrigerator that is 6 months old that is the responsibility of the manufacture.

The dealers responsibility is to service the appliance. It is also the customers responsibility to awnser the phone and be home for service.

Don't buy from STAR appliance

Yes. We bought a scratch an dent refrigerator from star appliance .we were told it just had a few scratch on it an a little dent which we could see. An it had the same warranty as a new one . So we bought it.big mistake. Had it delivered . Two months later all the lights an control went out called STAR the service man came out an checked out the board .still not working when he left said he had to order new board. About three days later it started working .still don't know what the problem is. Then started to leak water on floor Called STAR sent out tech he looked at the compressor an told me that this ref had been worked on before. I went to STAR an told then what there tech told me .Pat told me that he didn't want my business an goodbye .I which he would have told us that a few years sooner before we bought six major appliances from him .I would have had my old one fixed if I thought I was buying a used one

Great product

I insulated the entire roof of my 25,000sq. ft. building that was built in the 70's. Because the product is Energy Star rated, I received a grant from my state and the result was a warmer building in the winter and a cooler building in the summer. The product performs as advertised - including the foil tape used to seal the seams. I would highly recommend this product when fabricating any new steel building construction. The aluminum foil face also helped in the lighting. I continue to use this product in the products we manufacture without a single issue.

Starapplianceinmarion.com installed a APARTMENT size dishwasher in my rental home of 6 kids

We are renters and I will admit that the part of the blame is on the property manager not understanding what he was buying. But this business has no clear return policy and should take back the dishwasher for a full refund. The Property Manager called Star Appliance and asked for the cheapest dishwasher for a HOME. Star Appliances ordered and installed a APARTMENT size dishwasher that does not even fill the standard 24 inch space. On the Star Appliance website it says people come to them for expert advice and service. When I questioned them on why they would sell and install a dishwasher that didn't fit I was told by the owner that they never try to up-sell or advise their customers. I asked for them to take back the one week old dishwasher and we would pay the difference for a larger one and install fee again but I would not pay the 25% restock fee. When I talk to the owner he acted like because I was a renter I didn't matter. I told him I will tell people how I was treated in his store and at that point I was told to leave or he would call the police.

Sounds like Star did exactly what they were told to do. Now you are going to bad mouth them for doing what they were hired and paid to do.

Perhaps you should have talked to your landloard. Star has always been helpful when I called there.

You sound unreasonable.
