Exceptionally bad service.

After purchasing a vehicle, and discovering an issue, Stampede Auto promised us service to fix it. After 3 appointments - driving from the deep south - and management/associates lying and promising us a solution, nothing happened.

Dishonest, sleazy, awful customer service. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!

Worst dealership in Calgary, Alberta

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I originally was purchasing a truck but the payments were too high so the dealership recommended a 2015 Ford Escape SE. I live 6 hours away so was completing an online purchase.

The dealership arranged financing, provided an inspection report which indicated perfect condition, and Carfax which indicated no accidents. The salesperson assured me the vehicle was a great choice. The vehicle was delivered to me. The delivery guy handed me the keys and left promptly.

When I started the car the check engine light was on and I discovered the following additional issues:

- crack in windshield and drivers window

- engine coolant resevoir was empty

- rear wiper did not work

- transmission slips

- display does not shut off when vehicle turned off

- a 6 volt battery was installed instead of a 12 volt

- Mykey restrictions still programmed so speed and radio volume restricted

- battery drains in 24 hours and is now faulty and needs replacing

- when vehicle is driving in rain the car loses control

- damage to front end of vehicle which was not disclosed

- power steering and brake fluids are almost empty

- requires oil change

I contacted dealership immediately and submitted photos and stated I would be returning vehicle. I received approval from the lender to cancel the contract without penalty. The dealership will not respond to my phone calls or emails and it has been 4 months of regularly contacting them. I filed a complaint with AMVIC but my case has not reached the top of the pile yet.

I can't drive the vehicle because it doesn't start and I still have to make my payments to the lender. The dealership was completely dishonest when selling this vehicle and is not doing anything to correct the situation. They charged $1,000. fee at purchase and called it a Document fee which supposedly covers their overhead, wages, documents filing and service and aren't providing the service you would expect from a dealership.

Stampede Auto is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. They are dishonest crooks who don't care about screwing their customers. They also don't follow AMVIC's rules and regulations which they are required to by law. If you buy a vehicle from Stampede Auto in Calgary, Alberta consider yourself warned that you just joined the list of people they screwed.

The bill of sale is full of spelling errors. Should have been my first clue there is something wrong with this dealership.
