Verified Reviewer |Crooked Shady Managers & Price Extortion
- - Reception rushed checkout; asked for card, not stay length.
- - Overcharged for the stay; refunds discussed with corporate.
- - Ongoing leaks and mold.
Well on my final week staying there, they had 4 other people in the lobby all customers, when it came time for me to get rung up the receptionist just asked for my card and never asked how long I was staying this time around, then she hurriedly passed up the receipt and said sign at the bottom please, then someone came up behind me and said can ya pass this phone back to them and ask her to redial the number. Which caught me off guard and distracted me, I don't know of very many other businesses that let customers use their phones, or interrupt an already engaged transaction like this.
After all that I came back down half an hour later and the unit manager had already clocked out for the day, I was going to question them about the overcharge and tell them I'd only planned on staying for 5 days, although they never asked, and only assumed for how long I was staying and charged me for that. So I called corporate and made a request for the refund, they said okay, then the very next day when that unprofessional ratchet unit manager was there again, she wanted to call me up and ask why I lied when I tried to explain myself she'd just yell over and cut me off, no matter any type of utterance that came out of my mouth, so I made another complaint and the regional manager called me, and she understood and would honor my refund, which I agreed with, but regardless it was met with a backhanded threat to attempt to take away said refund, when I explained to them other impolite encounters I had and the fact of how unsatisfied I was altogether not only for this but dealing with a dripping leaky bathroom ceiling that had never got fixed for 5 months and in fact had gotten worse each time they attempted to repair it and at one point after the first 3rd or 4th times complaining about it to the on site staff nothing had ever been done about it until I made a complaint to corporate about it as well and then the very same unit / location manager wanted to snidely say you complain a lot in which I told her I'd made that issue known 3 to 4 times prior to calling corporate and stated to the regional manager I felt I needed a discounted rate as I was staying in a broken unkept room, not only that but in the winter the window weather sealing had dried up and rotted away and so there was a gap in the pane you could actually hear the wind blowing and whistling through it as well as see moisture build up on from the cold air over the night. The leak had gotten so bad it was causing dark green mold and fungus to build up on the bathroom wall of the pipes where it was coming from, and if you looked at the ceiling you could see brown pipe rust stains and follow the stains all the way across the room to the window out on the balcony and see a puddle from the drip there as well constantly.
I also had to get the card key re-tapped multiple times a week and at one point I had a lower ranking clerical employee wanting to try to hustle me for money and try to spread rumors to others there that I owed her money because I loaned her a $5 dollar bill to get her some lunch with that day that I never got back, then she wanted to start yelling anytime she saw me that she wanted that money. I'd stayed from April 10th to Dec 10 typically the way I've seen these hotels work is after 90 days they'd drop and discount your rate but here on June 10th they raised it from $750 a month to $850 and then on Oct 10th they said there were no more monthlies, and I'd have to pay $515 every two weeks, so of course at this inadequate level of service I'd had enough and decided to start looking to move out.
- Too many
