Color Cards

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The St. Louis Job Corps uses a color card system for evaluating students performance.

The evaluation comes from 12 different career success standards including personal professional presentation that includes how you communicate with others. It is also required that a student participate in center activities and interact with others in a professional manner. Sarah T. received her Gold Color card on August 5th, 2014 and her Silver Card on June 2nd, 2014.

She graduated the program as a Gold Card holder and a completer in the Certified Nursing Assistant program. She was wonderful to work with and would make a very good employee for a company looking for a Certified Nurse in the Springfield Illinois area.

St louis job corps center staff never puts in positives!!!!!!!!

at job corps they do panels to decide what color card you should be on, blue is not good, white is bad, green is new students, red is doing ok, silver is doing good, and gold and up is doing excellent. they use assessments to rate you from 0 to 60.

my problem started with that they did my panel early without telling me and they are required to tell you when they do so. so you can get your positive points in you need. and they DONT tell you that they keep positive points from previous panels on file so you pretty much think you have more than you actually do. at the St.

Louis job corps center the staff love telling you they will put in the positive points that you worked for and than not doing it, which screws over the student when they are trying to get positive points to get to a higher card because they think they have them and SHOULD have them but its not on the system when it should be. so the staff are messing people up b/c they are forgetting to put them in or just being lazy. I should have at least 15 but I somehow only have 7 b/c they choose not to put them in when they should have. I am going to be out by the time my next panel comes around or a little after then what is a silver card suppose to help when I am going to be completing by the time I get a panel.

yay a silver card for maybe a week tops. bull ***. students shouldn't be punished for staffs laziness.

job corps is a good program but they screw students over with the color cards and positive points needed and they shouldn't be allowed to do it. a lot of freaking people who come here have trust issues already you don't need to make it worse by going back on your word all of the time and making them not trust you or what you say you will do.
