I was using st francis for my African grey since I moved out here in 2014. The bird had a full exam at that time.

I was going about every 3-4 months until 2020.

When I called for a trim I was told I needed a full exam. I told her I would do it next month and she said it was now or find some place else - so much for caring I sent dr joe a letter but never got a response.

Would rather my dog die than do the surgery

About a year ago I had my dog in to St Francis to have a tumor removed. They missed one scheduled appointment date and then it took me several weeks to get in contact with them to finally get the surgery scheduled. They said I needed to have her spayed along with the surgery so I agreed.

The surgery went fine but then the beginning of this year another tumor started to grow. We took her back in and for a pre surgery consult. They said they had no record of her being spayed, they also said that she had tumors in her lungs and wouldn't recommend the surgery since she only had a month or so, three months max to live. Well after two and a half months she was doing fine except for the large tumor on her mammary tract. We took her in the beginning of April and were told that we should look for another vet because they couldn't get to her until sometime in May. We called back the beginning of May and they said they still couldn't get her on the schedule. We checked several other vets and could not afford the price the other vets wanted. We called St Francis back and explained to them we needed to wait until they could do the surgery. They said we would have to wait until June. Well we took her in to check on the June schedule and they finally said they weren't going to do the surgery and we should contact Sixth Street Vet. We drove 50 miles to Sixth street vet and they said they wouldn't do the surgery. We said we understood the risk but we were willing to pay the $600.00 dollars in hopes we could keep her several more months without her carrying around a large septic tumor. Sixth Vet said they wouldn't do the surgery. They said it was unethical to perform surgery on a dog that didn't think had long to live and we should put her to sleep. WOW!!!!

Anyway I believe you get the point.

St Francis is disorganized, unsympathetic, and in general not the place to go unless you have no other options. You would think that a vet that claims to be non-profit would be more compassionate that that. Well believe me they are not, we did find a vet to help us out but it wasn't St Francis or anyone associated with them. If they offered me free service I would not take any of my animals there ever again.

Never go to St. Francis Animal Hospital in Martinez, GA

My daughter's toy dog received a serious cut to her front paw and we were unable to stop the bleeding. We rushed her to St.

Francis Animal Hospital in Martinez GA. When we arrived we were met with a very callused and rude attitude on the part of the staff at the front desk. Not even asking about what the emergency was the main concern was that we pay $108 up front and fill out paper work. My daughter was standing there with her dress covered in blood and applying pressure to her dogs foot with a blood soaked towel.

the lack of compassion and rudeness was disgusting.

Do not take your presious pet there if she or he is seriously hurt or they could die before they will help. They appear to be more concerned about getting their money up front to pay for the beautiful expensive facility.

Soooooo true. Money hungry and RUDE!!

Horrid!!! We will NEVER shadow their doors again. From what I've also heard from other pet owners, I can't believe they're still open!!!! NO COMPASSION at all.

They need to change the name. Saint Francis would be disgusted!!!!!

WISH I HAD NEVER HEARD OF ST FRANCIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL AUGUSTA GA

Wish I'd never heard of St Fran. My little dog died because of their repeated mistakes.

My mistake was to take her there. After 4 visits in 11 days, I finally realized how incompetent they were. I then took her to another vet that diagnosed her problem in about 10 minutes. Sadly too much time had been wasted at St Fran and it was too late for treatment.

I guess the vets at St Fran have not heard of an x-ray. It's been 4 weeks & I'm still crying.

My daughters stopped going to St Fran because of problems they had experienced there. I wish I had changed vets sooner than later

Sorry for your loss. Which vet diagnosed the problem?

They are telling people lies.

St. Francis Animal Hospital at 7303 13 ave Brooklyn, NY 11229 7**-**1-1629 Dr.

Joseph S. Augello lied to me about the health of my puppy. A friend of mine at work has a sister that is a vet and she told me it is an old trick to lie to people about the health of the animal to overbill people. I am just so mad and hurt because they looked me in the eyes while they lied to me when they took my money.

Dr. Joseph Augello how do you sleep at night when you lie to people???

I also had a bad experience with Dr. Joseph S.

Augello and his staff. I had just adopted a new kitten who was in need of treatment and he did all these tests and unnecessary exams only to find out $300 that my kitten wasn't injured and just needed more TLC. I will not be returning to St. Francis Animal Hospital in SI NY.

I also did not appreciate that they took it upon themselves to make unnecessary diagnoses for my kitten when he, as a vet, should know that my kitten would be alright without the x rays. They also mandate a stool sample for the first visit which is only racking up the bills more!!! If you have a budget for the vet, make sure you are able to differentiate what is necessary for your pet so you are not spending hundreds of dollars on unnecessary tests.

I don't know how you can lie to a traumatized family who is upset about their beloved new kitten being hurt... how do you go home with a good conscience and sleep well at night?

You obviously lack brain cells why would anyone do that.

Dont they know you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all the time. :p

carol Tvr

was pulling teeth from puppies in Staten Island. I refused to let him pull teeth from my cat (600 dollars).

Subsequent visits to another vet said they were fine. He is dishonest.
