Square 1 (one) kitchen reno from hell!

We signed with Square 1 Designs on May 18, 2018. Due to my partners cancer advancing quicker than expected, he passed on June 5. I tried to cancel at that time but was told things had already been ordered (things I still don't have)and I would lose my deposit (over $39 000....on an original $40 000 job) if I did. I am 71. I worked hard to get all the kitchen things into the basement while mourning etc. The reno was supposed to start in June an finish in Sept. Delay....Delay. The reno began in Sept. They ripped everything out quickly leaving me without a fridge and stove, no cupboards and the lighting hanging from wires. They ripped out the wall. They put in the flooring first. I was talked into replacing all the flooring on that level. This involved all the kitchen furniture and living room furniture being put in the living room and gathering sanding dust. All the kitchen stuff was in boxes and in the basement.I lived in the bedroom exclusively for over two month this way while they messed around arriving for a few hours once or twice a week. Once I bought paint to try to sped them up. They said that it was in the contract that it was just to be paint ready. (a lie) but they would do me a favor and paint it! They did but never paid me fo the paint. They managed to install kitchen shelves, no brackets and no doors or or shelf fronts. The kitchen boxes that the cabinet man phoned me about because he had not been paid for the cabinets and was going to put a lien on my house. I bitched and bitched about having to live in my bedroom. No one at Square 1 cared. The neighbours finally took mercy on me and put my furniture back in place. Now I could live in the living room...Still no fridge, no stove, no toilet. They had left the toilet in my garage and a rag hanging out of the hole in my bathroom for over a month. They reinstalled the toilet some time in Nov.They did it incorrectly and it leaked into my basement ruining my family pictures, embroidered tablecloths etc. They did not care. There is lots more. Appliances were delivered but nothing was hooked up.They left me with shoddy workmanship, uncompleted work,one working electric plug in in the kitchen, missing and badly installed baseboards, no lighting fixtures, bad ceiling repair, no microwave or sliding door etc. ....all paid for! All through this they badgered me for ever more money and threatened me with ever more delays! I have an email proving this....and I paid over $52 000 and have little to show for it! Now their Calgary office is closed because they did not pay their rent. Their site is taken down. I have gone to lawyers, phoned Service Canada, and tried to take them to Small Claims Court....but they can't be found and won't respond! Now What!! PLEASE RESPOND! I am most frustrated!!
