What happened to the flavor?

Sprinkles used to have a wonderful, tasty and distinctive flavor - a dense but moist sponge, and the frosting was beyond delicious. The last several times I have purchased cupcakes from the Grove Store in Los Angeles, I have been gravely disappointed. The ingredients are not the same, can't be. The taste is bland, more texture than flavor. I ordered a Strawberry Cupcake, and I could not detect the slightest hint of strawberry in it. Just sugar. The Sponge was dry and crumbly. Also, there seems to be less sponge, more bland frosting. The other cupcakes in my order were not much better. The special lemon meringue was marshmallow, not merengue...and very little cake; the Black and White -- the favorite of my dinner guest -- didn't taste the way any of us remembered; the fourth, the basic yellow cake with milk chocolate frosting, was uneventful and forgettable. Come on, Sprinkles! You dazzled us, but now you give us worse than grocery store bakery product. Yes, the sponge at Vons and Ralphs actually tastes much, much better! Cupcakes should be your speciality. So sadly, I have to give up Sprinkles -- no more Sprinkles cupcakes for my friends for their birthdays, or for dessert and dinner parties. I'd rather not keep spending the extra money hoping I'll fine that amazing flavor again. Sorry, I but that's how deeply disappointing your product has become.
