Steer Clear of this place

I lived there for 17 years before I moved out of state. When I moved in they were considered luxury apartment. When I moved out they were a slum. When I left I paid our caretaker $150.00 to clean the unit. Six months later with out any notice from management I'm contacted by a collection agency trying to collect $500 from me for cleaning of the unit. Those SOB's without benefit of any notice turned me over for a bill I didn't owe. ALL they are concerned with is collecting money. Any amenities are their to attract suckers to move in. Residents get screwed once they sign the dotted line.

Springbrook Apartments in Fridley, MN

Springbrook is a very large apartment complex in Fridley, MN. We rented an apartment there 3 weeks ago. We were told that we'd have newer appliances but in fact the stove appears to be a surplus unit from 1964. We were also told we'd be able to get a garage but it would be maybe "a month or two" wait. I was just told the other day that we would probably never get a garage. Our built in microwave doesn't work, we have a broken blind in one bedroom, and several other items to be repaired. They rushed us through the walk thru inspection and now basically blamed us for breaking the blind. The doors have been painted over so many times they stick shut and make a "pop" when opening. The toilets barely flush and water pressure in general is nonexistent. Needless to say, it's been a week now and no repair work has been done. I just went ahead and fixed the kitchen faucet myself as it was not workable running at a trickle like it was when we moved in. Oh, and the ceiling fans were not cleaned prior to our move in so they are black with a thick layer of dirt. Highly recommend you pass on Springbrook if you're looking for an apartment in Fridley, MN.

Another update....

I was sitting in the living room when I heard a series of crashes outside my patio door. I got up and looked.

Just then a couch came crashing down from above. Turns out the Springbrook staff was cleaning out the apartment above after an eviction.

Instead of carrying the stuff out, they just started throwing it off the balcony. Good thing our boys weren't home running in and out like they normally do or they might've had a couch land right on top of them.

Just an update. Yesterday they finally came to do some of the repairs.

One of the items they repaired was our sliding screen door.

Our 9-year-old was the first to slide it open and the door came completely off the track. Yea...some repair job there.
