The Parties have reached an amicable resolution to this matter

Original review Nov 29, 2012
Spring Creek Pool & Spa left us hanging over the summer for three months and we still do not have a working spa. The company front loaded additional work but never completed the original project. Sloppy work and poor construction was rampant throughout the project. We never knew when they were coming and the owners promised perfection and improved communication but we never saw either. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Spring Creek failed to provide a timeline for completion but kept front loading work that they said would extend any timeline. Spring Creek did not keep their word and lacks any integrity as a business.

Springcreek Pools did a fantastic waterfall addition to our existing pool. Their workmanship was impressive to watch in action and the completed project was excellent. Our family appreciated their attention to detail and their willingness to take our general idea and develop a beautiful work of art. We especially appreciated the fact that their owner actually came to our home to make the small adjustments to the waterfall flow and show us and teach us how we too could do adjust the flow and direction of our new waterfall. Their project supervisor, Javier, he also came back to assist us with our existing pool and he provided to us in learning details about our older pool we had not know about before.

I have told many of our friend about our experience and have suggested they too ask Springcreek to build their pool.

I know both the client and the contractor. Mr Hughes is full of hot air and his complaint is unreliable and should be taken with a grain of salt. Although the contractor has never done work for me I know the owners and they are stand up guys.

I agree with you regarding the owners OPD! I don't know the complainant but do know Spring Creek. They have done (2) project s for me, my dad and brothers and we were all very pleased.

Wow, " full of hot air" yet you don't identify yourself, don't know the complaint. Does the word "Stooge" for the owners come to mind.

Poor communication and sloppy construction

Spring Creek Pool & Spa in Ripon, Ca. Beware. Have a timeline in writing or you will be waiting awhile and also dont allow company to put in equipment they want rather than what you want. Poor communication skills and very unprofessional. Company will attempt to frontload work and not complete work requested. Company uses limited equipment and recommends to you what they will use not what you want. Get everything in writing as far as a dedicated timeline of completion or you will be waiting quite awhile. Sloppy work and very undependable. Communication is very poor even within the company itself. We waited 2 and a half months and still never had a working spa for the summer.

The Hughes complaint is their response to the Mechanics Lien Spring Creek had to file for lack of payment on their project. Unfortunately the Hughes have a project that is 95% complete and only 70% paid.

A lien on their personal residence has been served in order to maintain the interest of Spring Creek and the subcontractors who have completed work on the project. The schedule was driven by client indecision on materials to be used including colors etc. The indecision is absolutely a prerogative of the client but obviously dictates the sequence and scheduling as each step in the remodel is contingent upon the next phase of work. This fact is well documented in correspondence between the Hughes and Spring Creek.

The clients also had a leak in their existing pool and in their irrigation lines both of which were not in the scope of work contracted and are listed clearly in the contract as exclusions. Spring Creek participated in a lengthy leak detection process as a courtesy to the clients and is now being criticized for the time taken to do the extra work not contracted or paid for by the client. Spring Creek’s billing is specific as to what has been installed and the total amount needed in order to bring the account current. In closing Spring Creek has never received a complaint in our existence (10 years of operation) and has an A+ rating with the BBB.

We believe this speaks volumes about the operation we run.

The Hughes response to the question: "Consumer Desired Resolution" clearly articulates that they have no desire to resolve the matter and therefore without resolution, or a clear path to obtain resolution it remains a collection matter.
