Spectrum is a nightmare and apparently was so unprofitable they were purchased by a Swedish company called Odevo. I have nothing good to say about them.

Bogus fees which are pocketed by Spectrum AM (hand delivery fee for Notification letter that are sent via regular USPS mail service/postage) and placing themselves as a HOA Board member (with voting power) are just a few of the business practices; both are unlawful, possibly even criminal (fraud). There should be a negative rating System which in such case Spectrum AM would garner a -3 Rating.

Dishonest

Spectrum Management, San Antinio, Tx. is an incompetent company.

I'm an x-board director, my office was the treasurer, who resigned. We were told by our manager, (Janet) we needed to "vote" for us to be on the signature card at the bank. Our bylaws state we are to sign all checks, among other things as the treasurer.

Therefore the board does not vote for another board member to do their fiduciary duty. Our board voted and 3 of the 5

board members didn't want anyone on the bank card, even thou they knew they were going against our bylaws.

A month

later a board member resigns and we vote again for the signature card and it passes. We are then told in an email from the VP (Jonathon) at Spectrum that NO ONE is on any of the bank cards from any of their HOAs. AND that this matter will no

longer be discussed. So why did we have to vote in the first place?

Because Spectrum lies! I see a class action lawsuit here

if other HOA are not on their signature card to control their funds. It's been a year since 3 board members resigned at once.

(2-2-22) Not only do they lie, they don't send all receipts financial packet, ethical behavior,

don't pay the taxes, don't answer all the financial questions, and open your board up for lawsuits. They also forget they work for us.

*** Instead of resigning, the Board should have met WITHOUT SPECTRUM AM PERSONNEL present to conduct official business: Reviewing of Spectrum AM contract to take a vote to take the necessary steps to contract another Association Management company (or self manage, which is difficult to say the least but not impossible) following the vote to not extend or renew contract with Spectrum AM. YOU COULD HAVE STRATEGICALLY SHUT THEM OUT and legally properly severed your contractual relationship with this company.

I get that it's a lot of hard work.

I can't and won't say that I BLAME you for going the route y'all chose to go (resigning). I am just saying there was another way.
