I came in to exchange a wrong bottle of almond simple syrup that i had purchased for just regular simple syrup, they were hassling me about not having a receipt. I said, 'Look me up by my number.' So they made me wait over fifteen minutes.
And one of the salesmen said, ' He said if it was me i would tell you to Take your *** and go home, I am a key club member, a black level member i purchase expensive bottles often. I mistakenly thought i was valued as a customer. But i was treated like garbage and they just blew me off. It's a shame they treated me this way over such a small item.
They lost a customer and Specs lost their reputation with me. Specs is now the last place I will buy liquor from

I'm a trans woman, so this is of course somewhat forgivable. But I was just in the store in Sugar Land on highway 6.
I have a purse a full face of makeup. And the man at the counter calls me sir, this happens it's no big deal usually. But then they do it a second time. Like even if you mistake me as a male initially, by that time you've realized that I'm trans.
So doing it any further just feels like being an *** for the sake of being an ***
I usually have a great experience in this store but this honestly gives me pause because I don't want to run into somebody who's actively aggressive towards me in that way.
It's really bothersome because it was completely unnecessary, you don't have to call me with an honorary.
For anyone, I've never had anyone else at this store using honorary that is gendered with me in either way. So it feels a little targeted.

I did receive response from a district manager and he promised to resolve the issue and respond back after the 10th of November. He assured me that was not representative of how Spec's is supposed to be ran and now I shall wait for his report.
Already submitted a complaint but received no response. This tells me you are not concerned about the rudeness and lack of customer service.

I bought three cigar lighters from Specs in Corpus Christi, Texas, off Yorktown, and these lighters are breaking within one to two uses. They are saying they are unable to refund my money because it's broken.
I couldn't even light two cigars in the same day that I bought the lighter without the button you push to ignite the lighter, breaking on me. I don't feel it is right for Specs to be selling merchandise that is having quality control issues and functionality issues, and then when the customer brings it back the same day, telling the customer, 'No, we can't refund you because it's broken.' In any store, if you buy something and what you have sold is defective, you should be entitled to a refund. If I were to buy a weed eater or lawn mower from the store and the lawn mower doesn't turn on, when I go to return it, they wouldn't tell me it's my fault that I'm bringing it back in this condition, and there's nothing else they can do. That's just very bad business.
Spending $100 on lighters in one week is very unacceptable for them all to break and Specs not being able to do anything about the items they are selling. The manager, Leslie, is telling me it's my fault I broke it. There's nothing to be done when all I was trying to do was light a cigar and the lighter broke.
That's not okay. I spend almost $1000 a month here, if not more, and I will be taking my business somewhere that respects its customers.

My husband called every store in a 50 mile radius looking for Winter Jack. The Temple, TX store said they had 3 bottles and only sold 1 per customer.
We are both over 21 so were both going to purchase a bottle as he was told 1 per customer not household. 30 minutes later we arrived at the Temple location. I went in and asked an associate where the Winter Jack was located an he stated they had none. I told him my husband just called an was told there were 3 bottles an he said they mustve sold out.
My husband then went in (one of us had to stay in the vehicle as our child was with us), he was again told there was none. He said he just called. The cashier called someone and they said it was being kept in the office and when brought out he was told it was the last bottle. He was also told they put it back there for customers.
How is a product sold when it is placed in a office customers dont have access to and the staff tells customers who ask that there isnt any? I feel like this was very unprofessional and disrespectful considering we had called and KNEW there was a product there yet nobody even checked initially.

Incorrect information and pricing on product
Be really careful when you try to get a case discount! A case by most peoples definition is 24 items.
Case of beer equals 24, case of bottled water equals 24. At Specs, sometimes a case equals 10, but the employees will try to you and tell you it takes 12 cases OF 12 bottles, which is 144 bottles if theyre a certain size, and the consumer is supposed to figure that out on their own. When I called customer service, through Pissed Consumer, she transferred me to the manager of the San Marcos Texas, Barnes Drive store. She basically blew me off and said, the employee mustve been confused, (because she said it only takes 10 cases of 12, which is still 120 bottles, which most people would not consider a case), but oh well, I dont know what to tell, you it is what it is!
Paid in cash and no receipt given. Something smells funny

However, I didn't know a solid name like yours was behind him...I'm very disappointed and I have to let people know this..
