- Refills are ridiculously expensive (due to small tank size.) - New bottles do not fit older products. It would seem they change the threading on the bottles to make you buy a newer Sodastream. - You don't actually save as much money as you would think compared to buying regular soda.
SodaStream - New bottles do not fit older dispensers- NO NOTIFICATION
by PissedConsumer1492431 #1492431
New bottles do not fit older dispensers- NOTIFICATION. the bottles appear to be similar in size to the older bottles however they do not fit.
The opening size is the same. The gas canisters fit the same. I was given 6 new bottles as a Christmas present ( roughly 60 dollars). I cleaned them and filled them.
When I went to load the bottle onto the unit, but no way in *** do they fit. No where in the displays or advertising does it say there was a difference. So now do I eat the cost of these new bottles. DO I submit for a new unit.
At this time I own a friggin paperweight. I will never purchase anything from them if they do business this way.
SodaStream - Another lousy refill
by OpulentSandLizard #1557820
This is not the first time that this has happened. I got a refill and it performed poorly right out of the gate.
Didn't even get one satisfactory bottle of soda. What a rip off! Are the bottles not tested properly? I have had weak bottles right from the beginning before, but this one was the worst. Why is this even an issue?
How hard can it be to put gas in a bottle and get it right? Considering giving up on this product altogether, since I make special trips and fill two bottles each trip. I can't live with a 'weak' bottle this often.
SodaStream - Flat water experience....

First use, I got fizz but with a full tank of CO2 I have never been able to duplicate. Very disappointing. Drinking flat Cherry cola daily.
SodaStream - Load of Rubbish 61L per canister.
by PissedConsumer1504507 #15045071.0
First time I used my Soda Stream, I got about 43 x 750ml bottles made. Second time after a new cylinder was purchased, I got exactly 22 x 750ml bottles carbonated. This is a scam, not worth the money, they claim you can make up to 61L of carbonated water, Rubbish, you are lucky to get around 32L Better go back to buying bottled soda water @ 90cents a 750ml bottle.

I received the Fizzi cordless Soda Stream as a gift. Even though I have checked repeatedly and confirmed I am operating it correctly, I can't add bubbles to the bottle without the bottle overflowing and making a mess! The claws that catch the bottle don't create a tight...
SodaStream - Defective unit, no refund
by GrumpyDeer #14931792.2
I bought a SodaStream, it arrived and upon trying it out, it leaks and doesn’t carbonate. They went through troubleshooting with me, and determined the bottle was at fault. They will not refund my money, claiming their defective bottle is a “final sale”.

I have used the previous soda stream models for a few years, and they performed to expectations. Having lost one in a relocation I replaced it with the new model "dud 2017". It simply does not charge the water and uses 10% of the gas bottle at best. This is simple physics...
