Door-to-door sales - NOT marketing!!
All the makings of a pyramid scheme. 1st interview: The "office manager" tap danced around my questions (specifically asking what the daily activities entail and what to expect during the second interview) with the "details cannot be shared because of privacy issues of our multi-million dollar client contracts". I agreed to a second interview only because I was curious and interested in the prospects. I have never been into the sales scene but this was presented to be something so much more involved and less sales-ish. 2nd interview: accompanied an "account manager" on door-to-door sales. Might as well have been selling girl scout cookies or magazines. They had a "pitch" they had memorized. Literally told me they ignore "no soliciting" signs because they believe it would be wrong for the potential consumer to miss out on such great deals! Not just the typical walk in, pitch, walk out. NO! I witnessed this "manager" solicit customers in a hair salon while the stylist was cutting their hair!!! It was despicable and shameful. I was embarrassed to be there. Be warned when they tell you that your second interview will be spent with an account manager and to wear comfortable shoes. I was inconceivably disappointed and irate with the level of deceit. They have several names for the same company, too!

Spark events inc is a huge scam
To sum it up it's a complete scam. You're driving around in your own car & walking around all day selling coupons. Not doing anything related to sports marketing. Youre driving your own car and they dont pay you for gas. Youre out all day 9-5:30 in the field selling coupons door to door and you make maybe $50-$60 a day. Trust me they lie to get you hooked in because then you have nowhere to go because you've already quit your other job or you have stopped in you job hunt and that's exactly where they want you. (stuck) I worked there and trust me there is no exaggeration when I say you will prob see 30-40 ppl start because they promise a 6 figure salary and youll end up seeing at least and this is a modest number 30 ppl quitting. It's sales completely 100% commission. You are paid under the table and the company is based on using you to make them money beating the pavement and not making nothing to show for your 12 hour days. 7-9 in the office then 9-5:30 in the field and 5:30-6, or 7 back in the office. Fun right when you thought you were going to be working for an ACTUAL marketing company. "jokes"

is spark events the same company as southern spark???
No! It's not even the same incorporation name, and it's not even in the same STATE?!
Southern Spark is only a pre-planned venue based marketing firm, no D2D or B2B. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE REVIEW> it's in Kansas City, MO and their incorporation name is Spark Events.
Horrible, despicable company. I almost quit my job to move 500 miles away to take a job with this "marketing company." I am lucky to have seen the signs of a scam in progress and found another job before it was too late. It was frightening to see the interview process.....walking around in horrible neighborhoods selling coupons to hard-working business owners.
Connect DFW/Connect KC is the same as Spark Events which is the same as Peak Marketing...and so on...
They have many names. Just be looking for posts on job boards where the hook is "entry level Client Representative".
