Unsatisfactory Customer Care

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The doctors and medical assistants are awesome and show exceptional bedside manner; however, the receptionists are extremely rude and disrespectful which shows a reflection on how management is. I am to assume management is very disrespectful to those they hire. Most likely the management lacks people skills.

They terminated me as a patient

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was emergency referred here by my PCP for a mole biopsy, my first appointment the receptionist messed up my appointment so we rescheduled for a week later. so i show up to the second appointment and try to check in and the receptionist tells me im not on the schedule because when they went to put me in the appointment time did not lock in...which i dont understand how that is my fault.

these people dont know how to treat their patients like humans . i made a surgery and biopsy appointment before i left and i get a phone call a few days later being terminated as a patient because i made an honest review about my experience.

so if you leave an honest review they will terminate your care! DISCRIMINATION!!!

Original review updated Jun 27, 2021

In May of 2021, I provided my provider, Dr. Dum with a written letter of complaint regarding this individual on a prior visit.

Obviously, my complaint wasn't taken seriously, or Kristy's unprofessional behavior and harassment weren't addressed.

Previously, Kristy attempted to force me to apologize for being rude to a former employee of the company. I advised her I wasn't rude to her, but pointed out a mistake that the employee made. And, only the employee and me were on the call, so she couldn't have known what was said.

Bottom line, they scheduled my husband's appointment under my name because I was the insured, I guess. So, he showed up for the appointment instead of me.

I got on the phone and explained this. They set him up in the system and saw him that day. Then, they charged me a missed appointment fee. When I received the bill, I called and explained it.

They said it was straight. I received another bill. I called and was advised the bill was straightened out.

I called in a few months ago to make an appointment for me and was advised to hold. A woman named Kristy got on the phone and told me that she didn't show any of that.

I gave her the names and dates of everyone that I spoke too. Then, she said, "oh yes, I remember you. I had your account flagged because you were rude to the employee." I advised her that I was never rude. That wasn't true.

She advised me that the only way that I could make an appointment is if I apologized for being rude to the ex employee. I advised her that I would not!! I asked to speak to someone over her and was advised that she was the highest! She then asked why I wanted to come to a place where people were rude to me.

I advised her that I was taping the phone call and would like to speak to a doctor. She told me she would go ahead and make the appointment but gave me a speech on good behavior as if I were a kid! I was at work with my speakerphone on, while I was typing. My co-workers were horrified at Kristi's behavior, and they wanted to know why I would even want to be a patient there.

Dr. Dawson has overseen my mom, dad, brother and my care for years. I've even gone to Dr. Garcia.

This is a nice and knowledgeable establishment, but the customer service is horrible!!

Today, when I showed up for my appointment, I paid for my co-pay with my flex account. So, I asked Sarah for a detailed receipt. She argued back and forth that what she provided me was a detailed receipt. I told her that it didn't say what the services were for and only had the charges on it.

She pointed to the top where it said "dermatology" and said it says what it's for right here. Bla-bla Finally, Eileen told her that I had to get it at the end of the visit. At the end of the visit, I was advised that they would have to mail it.

When I got to the back, I thanked the Assistant for being so kind and advised her that the front is always rude.

I was waiting for the doctor and heard whispering outside the door. The Assistant that checked me in and the Office Manager, Kristi came in my room, and the Office Manager sat on the doctor's stool (hierarchy play) and said "Hi, I'm Kristy" and gave me a fake smile.

I spoke and asked why she was there. She informed me that we were going to have a conversation about me complaining on their staff. I told her I wasn't speaking to her and would like to speak to a doctor. She informed me that the doctor wouldn't be able to see me, today.

I asked why, and she said since I was displeased with their services. I, immediately, started taping this bizarre and unprofessional behavior until they left the room.

As they were leaving the room. I asked the Assistant for her name and she whispered and smiled and asked me why. I told her, so I would know whom I spoke with.

She smiled and whispered to me that she didn't have to tell me her name.

The doctor, later, came in, and I showed her the video that I just took. And, she advised me that we needed to address what I was there for and she would speak to Kristy. She never apologized for the way that I was treated and brushed off what just transpired. She provided me with the Assistant's name, after I advised her that that she refused to give me her name, the doctor advised me that she was new.

I asked, "so, she's new she doesn't know her name?" She, also advised me that she would discuss the matter with the Office Manager, Kristy, once again.

I feel extremely disrespected and discriminated against. No one should have to endure what I have just to see the doctor. Especially, when I have top of the line insurance, have never missed or been late for an appointment. And, I'm not the only one complaining about how unprofessional the front office is.

All of the bad reviews are attributed to the front office and scheduling, which is what I've had an issue with.

I'm unsure if the doctor addressed Kristi's behavior or if she relayed it to anyone. If she did, it didn't work, because I am still being harassed, bullied and discriminated against.

I was so upset about how I was treated and allowed to be treated, that my blood pressure was sky high when I left the office. I haven't been valued as a human being or a patient.
